Dl Sees Large '05 Loss

No, they didn't. Why do you think UAL hasn't emerged from Ch 11 yet? They are just like US Airways - a zombie airline.

We are not coming out of BK until everyone else joins us!!! 😛
CO was in BK for 3 years, we're going for the record!!!

This is a way to get more wage concessions and then go CH. 11. After going CH.11 they will get more wage concessions and shed a few a/c for free as they reject their leases. Then DL will say it needs 1 more round of wage concessions to keep going and shed a few more a/c. Woops, that is US, but it sounds like a game plan for DL to follow.

I agree that more concessions are coming but I have a question to anyone who can answer it. All legacies are in trouble. What is the liklihood that the state of Georgia, in DAL's case would intervene with some type of loan? Didn't Minnesota float a loan to NW some years ago concerning a maint. facility? It seems like a possibility...

"How much can they get for the regionals? Industry anyalysts say upwards of 1Billion"

Not sure, but one analyst said a "few hundred million" per company!

Delta should get a bounce from the Euro since it flies to so much of the Continent. It has only one flight to Asia and a respectable but not great presence in South America. Costs largely in Dollars but revenue in Euros sounds like a deal I want with High Dollar oil prices.

LOL! Great reply! 😉

Guess WorldTraveler is on one of those "business trips" that seems to pop up whenever the news about DL is is grim.

But don't worry, he'll be back as soon as he can find something bad to say about UA!

It is obviously difficult for airline employees to objectively look at the current environment. While WT's views are certainly optimistic in regards to Delta, they are hardly condescending and damning towards others. Perhaps you should take a step back. He has refrained from personal attacks which is more than most of us can say. If you really enjoy that kind of stuff, might I recommend the US Airways board?

I read quite well thank you. Even the drivel you manage to spout. WT's post, for the most part, are constructive. The most constructive thing you have offered is your avatar. Other than that, your sole contribution has been a constant source of antagonism.
