Customers will have access to more than 345 flights to 108 destinations through Salt Lake City -- one of the largest hubs in the West -- by March 2007

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 30, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Customers in the western United States will have another reason to choose Delta this winter as Delta begins the only nonstop service between Salt Lake City and Charlotte, N.C., effective March 1, 2007. The additional flights are part of Delta's expansion of its western hub, offering business travelers convenient flights to important business destinations across the country.
``Whether for business or pleasure, and just in time to get in some great skiing, Delta's new service will offer Charlotte customers the only nonstop flights to Salt Lake City,'' said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president of Network Planning. ``Convenient connections at our growing hub in Salt Lake offer the opportunity to access destinations throughout the West from one of the largest hubs in the region.''

Delta's daily service to Charlotte will be operated using the 150-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft -- equipped with in-flight entertainment offering customers movies, TV and music.

Delta's new nonstop service between Salt Lake City and Charlotte, N.C., effective March 1, 2007:

1524 SLC-CLT 5:20 p.m. - 11:17 p.m.
1525 CLT-SLC 8:00 a.m. - 10:28 a.m.
Note: Effective March 2, 2007

I wonder if they are still smarting from stealing their spotlight on the day JFK-LGW started?

...since US doesn't serve the west any better than they do.

"Our plan is working and we have tremendous, hard-won confidence in it.''

Guess US didn't guess that cleaning a competitor's clock was part of the plan. Imagine an airline COMPETING for passengers instead of buying the competition. How American can you get?

...this flight has been planned for a while. It was always a toss-up because CVG lost money. If they added this before the changes Glen Hauenstein & Bob Cortellyou made, it would have hurt CVG flights. Now that CVG is in better shape, and the need for CLT-West bound service is still pretty high, they can add things like this. Additionally, the availability of 738's due to CVG restructuring has helped as well.

By the way World, you post makes no sense...

Can't make any sense of it.
