What's new

DL's ATL-SIN was longest A330 flight

Boeing does manufacture some of its own parts, they build and assemble, at Mobile it will just be assembling.

Have you been to the Boeing factories?

I have many times.

Then every worker you saw was a job in the U.S not in Europe. Just like every worker in Mobile will be a job in the U.S. not in Europe. A better choice to me ..something rather then nothing .I've been to both by the way

I respectfully disagree as someone who worked on Douglas, Boeing, and Airbus aircraft for 20+ years. The Airbus A-320 family had its infancy issues but turned out to be a very "mechanic friendly" aircraft. I do not have any A-330/340 experience.

Then we agree to disagree. I'm not a mechanic, so whether its friendly or not is not of relevance to me, their products have this "cheap" feel to me.

yes, it was the same nose to tail cabin refurb which DL has done on most of its widebody fleet.... all you say and more.

and I commend you for slaying the notion that Airbus products are trash just because they aren't American made. I am as loyal as anyone to my country but when a non-American company sells half of the world's jetliner's they are doing more than a few things right.

Airbus products are trash not because of where they are manufactured, but because they are. You can polish a turd, but its still a turd, albeit a shinny one.
