E190 At Jfk On 6/12

My father was out on his boat in proximity to JFK on 6/12 and swears that he saw a 190 land in the early afternoon. Was he seeing things?

Telling a 190 from an Airbus can be pretty tough if you're not sure what to look for.

In order to tell whether or not he was seeing things, I would have to know if he was drinking in the boat or had he eaten something he may have caught in the waters off JFK.

Just dropped my niece off at JFK for her B6 flight. The 190 was parked at gate 1 in Embraer house colors. It had the ground a/c attached and front cargo bay opened. Reg. PP-XMC.

B6 ran the plane to several markets today...BUF, ROC and SYR.

I passed by that plane in the new JetBlue hgr at JFK. Nice bird!
But I couldn't help wonder how it is going to look in the foreign repair faciltiy in Central America when the heavy maintenance comes up. I also couldn't help but wonder how many more JetBlue mechanics wouldve been hired if that work was done in the brand new facilities in MCO and JFK.

Keep in mind that the new hangar in MCO isn't really for MX. It is primarily for Live TV installations. Did outsourcing the maintenance cost any current JB mechanic their job?
