ETC Down

Finally got the ability to list for a couple flights via the ETC....Funny, when I called the pass line I pressed option 2 because now my employee number is not working...ERRRRR!!!

I'd check with payroll and make sure you are still employed with the carrier! (not joking, either!)... that's how people in CCy found out they were fired during the merger... their phone/voicemail/email or thehub login didn't work.

regarding the ETC, it has its flaws but its nowhere near as bad as before... but prior to the merger, I can't remember as many glitches/issues.

I called the Pass Bureau last week and she confirmed my information. I can log on the hub just fine. I flew just fine over the weekend. It's the phone system I can't get to work. The pass bureau said everything is loaded in the system and looks fine on their end...I dunno!

it's been well over a year, and people on voluntary furlough still cannot access the etc. that's really pathetic.
 
I've used it a few times over the last few days and have not had a problem with it. I'm on the East side of the operation, if that helps.
 
If you work in IT, your comment alone would get you fired in any half-competent company.

No, I don't work for IT. If you don't believe operator error is occurring in this airline, you are the one living in a dream world.
 
If you are trying to find the loads for a flight (PTB's) and it gives you an error message of sorts, how in hell is that OPERATOR ERROR? It's hit or miss with the system. Overall they have worked most of the bugs out but to STILL be having trivial problems is just crappy IT support. It has NOTHING to do with management telling you to do something. From RES to the website to the ETC and SEPTRE......c'mon now.
 
Another problem that needs to be addressed with the ETC includes flight delays. If a flight is delayed (I know it is rare), the ETC and emp. travel line will not allow you to list even though the flight is delayed X amount of time. The system, at least emp. travel line, in the past recognized the flight had not departed and allowed one to list. This needs to be corrected ASAP.
 
Anyone else having trouble getting checked in tonight? Been trying for quite a while.

Hey if your LUCKY maybe it will be working for everyone else and you'll get screwed over tomorrow. Nice huh? They can't make ANYTHING work right. Where are the cheerleaders? crickets...... :unsure:
 
I tried again later and got it to list me. It wasnt too bad tonight since I'm using my SA1 - and from the dates of the others listed - I appear to be as old as dirt. But, if it were a closer flight and it came down to the computer not checking me in and getting behind someone else who happened to log in *when the computer was working correctly* before I could get back and get checked in, I would be po-d.
