It's rearing it's ugly head again as we all knew it would but the executives are again looking to fleece the company with unwarrented retention payments to stay onboard until the merger is completed. A lot of the people on that list are going to stay anyway ie Crellin, Paladini etc so why are they listed to receive payments to stay on when they have already agreed to especially in Crellin's case.
I hope the legal team with the unions are watching this and plan to oppose this with vigor. It's wrong for any of them to get a dime more than they already have taken. Any thoughts?

Rant over.

why should they get a dime more especially given that the employees have suffered far greater loses than any of those turds did or ever will.

IMHO....Those that remain are going to be compensated sufficiently...and those that are going to leave anyway..well they deserve nothing more than what they agreed to work for in the first place.

If you need "Executive Bonuses" to remain until the merger is done?...maybe your hearts not in it...and departing as soon as possible is the best thing for all concerned to begin with. It's obvious as hell , that this is exactly how they view the very people that are doing the day to day jobs that makes the company operate inspite of the so-called leadership here.

The AFA legal will object to any executive retention/severance package program the execs and BOD sneak into the POR last minute (which AFA believes they are waiting to do).

The MEC plans on attending the confirmation hearing on Sept. 15.

These "Last Minute" deals are the trademark of that group at CCY. You can bet the farm they'll be trying to rush something thru at the end. Enough is not in their vocabulary.

Who is this guy Crellin and why is he so unpopular?

he is the man in charge of flight operations and if you recall the nightmare in phl as an everyday thing or the Christmas nightmare, Al Crellin and the rest of top mgmt got blamed by the FEDS for lack of employees but no apology ever came out from the top brass idiots. Lack of staff in Phl leads to an everyday nightmare issues and around christmas, millions of bags piled up and US Air used 767s 757s and 737s to ferry bags only to clt to have clt help figure out where the bags were suppose to be

I doubt it matters what the unions object to, Other than making themselves feel good about filing an objection it won't mean a thing to the company or the judge. Once a crook, always a crook, or is that a crelin...

Don't forget that PIT also had to help out during that debacle, receiving many tractor-trailers full of bags to sort ON THE RAMP and IN THE MAKEUP AREAS, eventually sending them to their final destinations. The same thing happened during the notorious baggage system breakdown at PHL previous to the Christmas Nightmare.

I remember Express at PIT having many full carts of bags to stations serviced by Saab 340's and Beechcraft 1900's and only being able to send expedite bags after loading flight-specific bags. It took the better part of a week for all of the expedites to disappear, but they all (eventually) were sent.

Now, considering how many destinations have been cut from PIT, if US has another PHL bag problem, there will be no way they can send as many bags to PIT, because the company simply doesn't fly where passengers want to go out of that station. All the better for the employees there, too, because they won't have to do work that should have been done by someone else.

It's sad, really. I think many customers miss using PIT to transfer between flights. That station used to offer so many destinations, and is still very passenger-friendly. I'm glad the ACAA is seeing record-breaking O/D numbers and new tenants, but I think US missed out big time on being a part of a Rennaisance in Pittsburgh.
