I hear the step up E190 can go coast to coast. Doesn't mean it is the right plane to do so. Short to medium range flights is this airplanes nitch.

Those are the ones we are receiving as I understand..the 190-AR(IGW), 57 total.
 
This would make a lot of sense for US if these aircraft weren't coming in as REPLACEMENT planes. Seems like a very good market builder for non-hub routes - exactly the type of aircraft that could grab market share in certain markets and supply the airline with NEW revenue.

Unfortunately, since there are 737s leaving the fleet as fast as E190s are coming in, it doesn't look like there's much chance that this is how they'll be used.
 
Did you think management is really that smart to do that? The only thing they can do right is line their pockets! 😛
