File this with Immaculate Conception, and 'Floating up to heaven'.

I liked this quote from the attorney.

Catherine Schaible's attorney, Mythri Jayaraman, cautioned against a rush to judgment, and said the couple are good parents deeply distraught over the loss of another child.

I am a bit confused as to why the parents are distraught. Assuming their faith is as strong as they claim, the death of their 2[sup]nd[/sup] child due to lack of proper medical care should not come as a surprise to them. They prayed to their god for healing and their god said no. Case closed. Why would someone be distraught about gods will?

I hate the idea of foster care but it seems quite obvious that the Schaible's are unfit parents and should not see their children without supervision. The fact that this is the second child to have died due to neglect seems to me like it should carry a stronger penalty than probation.
