Does anyone know of companies that will hire a freshly float rated pilot? 50 hours total float and bush pilot course. Total time is 1000 with 80 multi. I'm looking for a start in bush flying.

Hey N2

That sucks about your other job falling through

The float/bush world seems pretty competitive right now too. I've spent two summers working the dock, logging the odd hour here and there, but I couldn't get on the insurance until I logged enough time.

I've been talking to a lot of people and I don't think 50 on floats will get you flying anywhere right away, but it will definately help get your foot in the door. Some bush experience would be a lot of help too. Chainsaw, carpentry, small engines, propane heaters, fishing, hunting etc.

Good luck,
let us know what you do

Hey Max, what are the minimums up where you're working?

Any chance of getting on full time flying next season?

Well that's life I guess with the job crapping out, but what can you do? Like I said in my other post, disappointment and aviation seem to go hand in hand! I'm sure something will come up sooner or later and if not then I just keep flying my own around for fun.

hey Zero

100 hours on type. They are a small operation. A 180, a beaver and plans for another beaver next season, that I'll be flying. 😀
Sorry, no help needed,

Max

N2...do you have any 185 or 206 time? Let me know or PM me, I might have a few contacts. 🙂
