For All the whining, sniveling, nay saying, Tokyo Rose liberal cowards (and we know who you are) who say our Fighting Men are disillusioned with the war, stick this in your pipe and smoke it!

CAMP VICTORY, Iraq, April 12, 2005 – An Army captain who lost his lower right ankle and foot to injury while deployed during the initial stages of Operation Iraqi Freedom has returned.

Capt. David M. Rozelle, commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo., is the first amputee to return to a combat zone.

Katie Couric did an hour long on Iraq/Terror last week and they interviewed several soldiers and everyone of them claimed they were happy to be over there fighting terrorists in their backyard rather than having them come into the US to bring terror on our home soil.I was flabbergasted....figured it would be full of soldiers with negative views on W and the war.

Our servicemen and women are dedicated to doing the job that they are trained to accomplish. They will go anywhere, anytime they are needed. There are always going to be service people with negative views, but W is their Commander in Chief. That is first and foremost; very seldom will you see or hear negative talk about him. They have sworn to carry out the lawful orders from his office and those appointed over them. That is a fact of life when you are in the uniformed services of your country.

They witness daily the accomplishments to which they contribute and it is not all negative as reported by some media coverage.

Do they get tired of war, YES!
Are there bad days and weeks, YES!
Would they rather be home, YES!
Will they get the job done, YES!
One successful mission makes it worthwhile to them. Then it is back to the same old grind, until the next success.

They have my admiration and I am proud of each and everyone of them. Their's is a hard job to have. The flabbergasting part is: they are all volunteers.

I hear you loud and clear.....I must say I was and still am flabergasted that CBS didn't show disatisfied after disatisfied soldiers to further their agenda....
maybe they had a hard time finding them???
I hope so......

Just my 2 cents here but I see alot of Military being deployed here in ATL and also BWI when I am there. I always take the time to 'Thank' them for doing what they do, so I can do, what I do. I hope those of you who care, do the same, and I'm sure you do. For those who do not, I shake my head.

Not many people do thank them when they see them and believe me they appreciate everyone who does thank them for their sacrifices and service to our country. When I was in I can count on one hand how many times I was thanked (and it was during a time of "conflict") but each and every time it was from the WWII generation. I've been thanked more over the past few years at gatherings and parades etc than I ever was when I was active duty but the difference now is it's from a larger cross-section of people than before.
Do they expect to be thanked?? Absolutely NO. Do they appreciate and welcome the thanks?? Absolutely YES. Our soldiers are the most humble people in uniform anywhere. God Bless them all!!

PS...QA4Jet-A....thank you for taking the time to thank them. Believe me they appreciate it.

We are the most Blessed Nation on the face of this planet, we have the best and most fierce fighting force in this world and they are out there defending our rights, freedoms, and very lives with little regard for their own. These Men/Women make me proud to be an American, and I can assure you that Freedom does'nt come Free.

Here is a Link for anyone who wishes to show their Gratitude to those Brave Americans who are making it possible for us to live Free!

When my wife and I go out for breakfast, I make it a point to do perform an act of "random kindness". When I see a uniformed military person or group at another table, I get my waiter/waitress to bring me their check and I pay for their meal, tip included. I ask not to be identified, I just want the servicemen and women to know that someone appreciates their efforts and sacrifices.

That's a great website and program, 12. My family and I have sent several packages through that program, and got some letters back in return. I can say that it really means a lot to them to know that they are being thought of. The Holidays are almost here, time for us to send some more, a great, non-political way to help the troops.

What a very kind and generous thing to do. I'm sure it makes them know and feel some do care. Props to you.

May GOD show you favor and bless your family, Those Men/Women are doing what many Americans would never do, They are laying down their lives for an Ideaology that made this country what it is. The very ones who wish to kill us come here and enjoy the fruits of something they can only long for.

Just do a search on any website about the 9/11 bombers and see how they were able to not only come here and obtain pilot training, they enjoyed the freedom to move about unhindered with the intent to harm us.

It turns my stomach to think after all we give to humanitarian needs throughout this world that we are looked upon in such a low regard. Yet when we face a major Crisis no one sends funds or international help, all we get is words of condolence.

those who live here yet claim they hate America have no understanding what they stand to lose!

Thanks for your support!

Local, Thanks for the tip on that site. I read some requests from Troops and will, at least, send them letters, and if I can swing a few $Bucks$, send them some things they asked for. That is the least I can do for people who lay their lives on the line so I can have mine.
Cheers, QA
