The EAP exists for a reason - take advantage of its services.

Sad, just goes to show what a pressure cooker this place is. I hope she gets the help she needs. To my fellow AAers, like I`ve said before, take care of each other. Good luck.

Bankruptcy stress? Right.

There are reports that she's bipolar and may not have taken her meds.

Unfortunately there are many with mental health issues
that should not be flying. But unfortunately nobody cares
here.

Passengers on the flight are saying that she claimed she was bipolar but had not taken her meds:

There many like her and the company does nothing.
There is one @JFK that even stabbed a pax and is
still working.

Either that or the union protects them from being grounded?...

I get so tired of hearing that crap. That's how we got here, managment will not act when they need too. It's always the union will not allow it. What did we write the contrary and force the company to sign? Do your job and manage already!

If the company attempts to terminate the person and the arbitrator rules against the company, there is nothing the company can do. Our contract calls for binding arbitration in the case of terminations. The decision is binding on both parties.

I bet this is the same one who has been fired twice before for telling F/C passengers to go F themselves. Both times the arbitrator gave her back her job.

Amen!

Agreed, blaming the union for management not doing their job, yet another sign of weak management. Why does the union have to get asked if its okay to enforce rules and regulations, contractual or otherwise? AA's most fundamental problem is the quality of its management team. The only way a union gets a person's job back is if management did not do their job right or the manager is cutting deals with the union that he/she should not be doing in the first place.

And if it was BK driving people to snap, what happened with that Jetblue FA that blew the slide? He wasn't under a BK ruling?
