Drunken Russian Flight Crew Beats Up Passenger

July 20, 2004

MOSCOW -- In Russia, airline crews sometimes have to deal with drunken passengers. But Russian airline officials are describing what they call an "unprecedented" reversal -- a passenger assaulted by drunken crew members.

An airline spokeswoman says it began aboard a flight from Moscow when flight crew members became intoxicated -- and only started catering to passengers about halfway through the four-hour long flight.

One passenger complained, and asked to be served by a sober flight attendant. With that, the airline says, two crew members began assaulting the passenger, who reportedly sustained a black eye and possibly other injuries.

One witness told a reporter that half the served food ended up on the plane's floor. Passengers had to pick their way over the mess as they left the plane.

The flight's entire crew has been temporarily dismissed as the incident is investigated

Not quite sure why this is labeled pilot abuse in the thread. These were flight attendants who are being accused of attacking the passenger.
Maybe Rocaduro is one of those people who considers flight attendants to be "not really flight crew members" and only cockpit crew count. So, of course when he/she saw "Flight crew beats up passenger", the assumption that it must be cockpit. Of course, it would have been even nicer if Rocaduro and everyone else who has posted this to multiple forums would realize that it has been posted on USAviation about 6 times now in different forums.
