Good question. Let's narrow the parameters a bit, and ask, how many furloughs per group, since 9/11, through 1/5/03.

Another question. I noticed on the IAM 141 -M site, there is a sheet showing the projected layoffs as a result of Concessions, part II. Perhaps a chart for IAM 141 would not be out of the question?

The 450-ish F/A involuntary number represents the most recent round of layoffs. Prior to that, there were 914 involuntaries (after the recall of 50 F/A's to LGA several months ago, and who are now included in the 450 recent involuntaries). This brings the numbers to about 1,350 or so involuntaries, PLUS in excess of 2,000 voluntaries. It is expected that most of the voluntaries will not return to work when they are recalled.

Furloughs for AFA--Flight Attendants

Involuntary, 2001 914
Involuntary..2002 247
recalls July, 2002 ... 50

Voluntary furloughs 1 2118
Voluntary furloughs 2 903
Voluntary furloughs 3 587

Total Involuntary 1161 but 50 were recalled so 1111
Total Voluntary 3608

Total Furloughs..Voluntary and Involuntary 4719

How many voluntary furloughs have returned from the initial 2118 in December 2001? How many flight attendants now working?
