White House press secretary Jay Carney was asked if the White House and President Obama gives their "full faith and confidence" to Senator Menendez, who is currently embroiled in a scandal concerning inappropriate gifts from donors and receiving "services" from underage prostitutes while traveling abroad. Carney responded that he had "nothing" to say about the matter. When pressed, Carney repeated that he had "nothing" on the subject.

If a repbulican's misbehavior seems to get more attention I would say that hypocrisy has more to do with it than any bias in the media. When some republican who is out in public pounding on a lecturn about family values and the sanctity of marriage gets caught with a woman half his age it's probably going to get more press than if a bleeding heart liberal who did the same thing. Or the republican who adamantly opposes gay marriage who gets caught sword fighting with another dude.

You overlook the issue of demonizing the GOP is a SOP within the DNC and there is a new agenda to 'go Bush' on the GOP to legitimize bypassing the House with executive actions.
Its all in the Alinsky playbook.

A Republican denounces under-age sex, then takes part in it, media can pounce !

A Demorat doesn't voice his opinion, on under-age sex, then takes part in in, no big deal, hands off media !

Weren't all political parties involved in the Paige scandal where politicians were having sex with underage people?
