No big surprise here.Fuel costs will cause AMR to post a larger than expected 4th quarter loss and loss for the year 2005.An airline analyst with J.PMorgan Securities states that AMR will almost certainly revisit labor economics in 2006,and specifically pension funding costs.
Just more of the same of US Corporations digging into their workers pockets to fund the years of mismanagement that continue at AA.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The idiot who wrote the article and the moron analyst apparently didn't hear today's news that AA's mainline unit revenue was UP about 12% year over year; AA's cash balance declined because of pension funding, debt repayment and other uses of cash. AA will show positive cash flow from operations for the third quarter and will not be rushing to slash wages again.

Learn to read!

Nothing was said about slashing wages.

The issue to be visited is Pension Funding.

I predict the TWU will give away the Defined Benefit Plan within the next three years.

My reading comprehension is sufficient, thank you.

From the OP's own thread title:

Fw Star-telegram Article 9-22-05, Wage Concessions

The OP started out with "Wage Concessions" and I simply responded to that.

If the OP didn't want any discussion on "Wage Concessions," then perhaps the OP should not have raised the subject.

Should come as no surprise that you have failed repeatedly to convince your co-workers to join AMFA, if you are half as rude to them as you are to people posting here. Perhaps some introspection might be in order.

You're confusing him with facts. You're confusing him with facts. This is the same guy who b1tched about airport stand bys with out knowing what they were.

I agree that I went after the wrong guy here.

The topic heading content did indeed mention wage concessions, while the content of the original post is obviously about pensions.

My apologies.

As for the personal attacks, post as you wish.

I wouldn't kiss anyone's ass to convince them to get a better union, never have and never will.

You on the other hand, must believe that you are very effective while calling folks idiots, morons, ect. Should I attempt that approach to succeed?
