So 30% are to be NW replacements which means 70% DAL to remain?
Sounds fair to me!![]()
I'm sure it does.... 🙄
Well...it sure does shoot holes in that tired line of "NW senior management will be running the show at DAL, yada yada"
With only 30% consisting of NW staff, that hardly appears to be the case anymore.
With that being said its time to quit the NW VS DAL as we are soone to be one of the same now. The constant bickering and "we are better then you" etc., doesnt show well for the soon to be the largest carrier in the world.
Not sure where you got the 30/70, but take a harder look. Some were right in earlier posts about the new management being heavily NW. Ed, Michael C and Glen are DAL. Richard is former NW, as is Steve Gorman (I think). Others are NW. Redo the algebraic equation on this one. If this is right, then it looks more like 33% DAL, 67% NW leadership. Good or bad who knows, but changing the diversity of in the upper ranks in any case.
Many will be replaced by counterparts at Northwest, the sources said, though some management members will move up in the ranks.
Many who will be leaving have worked for Delta in high management positions for many years, the sources said. The departures represent about 30 percent of Delta’s senior management staff.

More to be announced this week...look for more NW.
We tried to tell the good folks at Delta. They have found the outsourcing Motherload at Delta...you will believe it the day you are staring at the paper that says "Thank you for all that you have DONE for Delta...good luck in your future endeavors".
Most of us at NW knew what was coming down the pike. It's about money, they kept the "Delta" name because of money (tax credit) ONLY. These NW sharks play second fiddle to NO ONE. Sadly, it appears some will learn the hard way.
To leave yourself with out a Union at the "New Delta/NW" is to stand in the shoes of the Democratic Chinese idealist in COMMUNIST CHINA as the Red Army tanks approach ...but this time you WILL BE ran over....odd how the color of Red suits this group of NW leaders. I am sure most of you know exactly why the Widget was turned RED and pointing NW.
It is an ominous sign of things to come.
-----------------
On a sad note...our entire NW payroll dept. are losing their jobs, as the New Delta outsources theirs to Jamaica. Give them a call and thank them for all that they have done for us over the many decades. (some with 40 years, just like our mechanics)
What are you talking about???
Or are you just ranting?
Maybe above your comprehension level. Study it for a while.
Good luck with this train of thought. Just wait till you see a bit more of how the good old boys operate from the center of the earth down there in ATL. Mixing a group of unionized workers into the non-union shop of DL is going to be something to behold in itself. Going from a contract to doing things how they think they should be done on any given day will be a shocker for all. Oh where or where is your little DL posterboy Delta777 when his own house is out of order? Oh that's right he is busy bashing other Airlines about their woes... :blink:Well...it sure does shoot holes in that tired line of "NW senior management will be running the show at DAL, yada yada"

Ok funny guy. I see your just being inflammatory without any real information or proof. Thanks for sharing.

Delta announces board for merged airline
The new board contains eight members from Atlanta-based Delta’s board, including CEO Richard Anderson, and four from Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest’s board.
Now...NW people saw the game plan, the possibility of NON Union employees made NW salivate at the chops. Now what you have is a NW takeover of Delta while many Delta people think it is the opposite
