What's new

Goodluck

I don't, but it wasn't me who just tried to paint DL as the savior of America's Working Class.
well looky there... 700 and I agree that I didn't say that DL is the savior of America's working class.

I DID say that UA and UA ALPA have had little to no involvement in the Norwegian air application.

It says right on the vídeo that it was DL ALPA that is spearheading the charge.

Perhaps you can show me what UA has done to speak out about the issue.

And 700,
can you not grasp that jobs in HKG aren't American jobs now any more than jobs in México will be?

Ask 700 about the jobs his IAM shipped in aircraft maintenance and the damage their have done to ramp careers with $9/hr vendors. He can harp about DGS/Regional Elite etc but the IAM gives tacit approval to those working conditions since they gladly collect their dues.

...And you said right here that management was standing right along with them. Are these not your words?

Note that the message - and the campaign - has been led by DL pilots and its management who is trying to protect jobs for American workers.

standing with the pilots doesn't equate to being the savior of the working class and extended it to maintenance outsourcing and a maintenance JV which is what you have done.

It isn't just the DAL pilots and DAL management.

A4A came out against the Norwegian Air application months ago, and last I checked, they represent the management of almost every US air carrier of note.

yes, it is correct that A4A came out against it. So did ALPA national DL is part of A4A and UA pilots are part of ALPA national but DL and its pilots came out ON TOP OF what A4A and ALPA national did.

But UA has not, is that correct?

UA has not what?

What exactly are you saying that DL Pilots & management have done "ON TOP OF" A4A and ALPA National?

I haven't done anything except ask you to explain your posts. I'm still waiting.

unless someone shows me otherwise, UA and its ALPA unit have not made separate statements and taken a stance on this issue as DL and its mgmt have done.

I said that DL and its mgmt were standing against Norwegian and DL mgmt was attempting to protect American jobs. I didn't say ALL jobs in every circumstance.  You chose to extrapolate beyond what was written.

There are other evidences that DL is bringing jobs back to mainline employees but that is another topic and isn't what I said.

My point was and remains that unless someone shows me otherwise, DL and its mgmt have made statements and taken stands including in Congress in addition to what ALPA National and A4A have done.

If I am wrong, please show me.

well thank you for posting that UAL ALPA statement.

They used the same verbiage that DAL ALPA used, including in the video that was cited in the OP.

Glad to see that ALPA is unified in opposing Norwegian.

Wow. So much for solidarity and supporting your "brothers and sisters". Why so much hatred and negativity? Is it just perceived superiority complex of pilots and other labor groups?

And for the record the union is ALPA, not ALPO.

Josh
There is 'a lot' you don't know.

For one.
When UA was in BK the UA ALPO MEC stated that they have no problem with outsourced maintenance.

Oh there is more for sure, but there hasn't been a 'unified' effort between 'unions' since the Eastern Strike.

I personally have no interest in protecting the jobs of the dill weeds that were complicit in outsourcing my job.

Crossing Union picket lines is also a big 'no-no'.
