You don't get it do you? They helped get us into this mess, and now....they think by over-governing they will save us? By their hand, it will only get worse. Much worse.

i'm not looking to get into the blame game , it could take years figuring out what went wrong ... that's time better spent focusing on how to correct the problem ..

the goverment has no choice but to spend and spend and spend ... it is simply not an option to let millions of people lose their jobs , or allow states to go broke ...

we must keep paying unemployment benfits , we must keep providing services to the population ...


The entire economy is crumbling .. and it will continue to do so no matter what happens ... even if the goverment hadn't bailed out anyone , nothing would be different except the rate of econmic destruction ... and that rate would be far faster ... if the credit makets were still frozen today we'd be seeing a million jobs lost a month instead of 500k ....

it's all going to come down down down , and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it at this point .... the snowball is simply too large now .

oh we know what the problem is , our economy is fubar . blaming an INDVIDUAL or individuals won't make the economy go ....

we could spend MONTHS with hearings trying to figure out who did what or why ... meanwhile our economy tanks ....

tell me , what's the more pragmatic thing to do , place blame , or try and fix the problem ....

Well figure out what got us here and try and correct it.At the moment who did what isn't important.....but how can you fix something when you don't realize what got it to this point?

Your economy is going to tank anyway.....fixing it is only going to prolong the problem....Capitalism has self help features built in for industry.

Freedom, the credit markets are still frozen. You will see further ramifications of that before June, when many of the public's beloved retail stores file bankruptcy because of limited access to financing during this trough; and then you will see it again when they are forced to liquidate because no one will finance them through bankruptcy.
