so how was the hunting?? i've heard guys around these parts say the animals have an unusually thick layer of fat... hope it's not a warning about a long cold winter... mind you, here in sask it's been snowing since sat nite... guess winter is here... 🙁

Dropped a 4 year old bull at 0913 opening morning. Not much fat on the moose around here. The overabundance of bears and wolves is keeping the moose on the go.

Lots of snow here too, 2 foot snowbanks in some places. We had at least 6 inches out at camp, made for easy tracking though.

I hear its supposed to be a bitter cold winter with not alot of snow.....g/d cold friggin weather......again. :down:
