Hello to all,
We are moving and restoring the last and only full example of a Hawker siddley Trident 1c here over the pond. There was only 24 ever built .The aircraft over the last year has been dismantled at Teeside airport and will be next weekend moved to its new home at a museum in the North East where it will be re-built and restored .
We need your help guys to help us to make sure this move happens as at the eleventh hour the airport has asked us for a £50m insurance , just to take it across 100 yards of airside before we take it out of the airport grounds. The trouble is the crane company only has a 10m insurance and this has left us with a £2000.00,($1700) top up insurance bill to pay before we can move. Being a volunteer group who rely on public donations, we can only appeal to aviation ethusiasts like ourselves to try and raise the donations necessary to complete this move.
If any one can help in any way we would be so grateful . We are so dedicated here to make sure this aircraft is saved and the world can still enjoy seeing her. Our website is www.savethetrident.org in the uk.
thankyou and have a nice day tony jarrett

Hi All,
We moved Trident 1c G-ARPO to the Sunderland aircraft museum in Sunderland in July 2011 and have come quite a way with the restoration . We have almost finished the front cabin, and will be painting the fuselage this May . To finish the cabin we need to raise the monies to  buy the fabric so we can cover the seats and  also require to hire a sprayer for a week so we can paint it.
We really need your help by raising this money so we can do this and get it open to the public . If  you can help please donate through the Save the Trident website which shows all the work we have done to date

  regards tony
