Hp Pilots Express Deep Concerns About Merger

The only way to pull off a fair merger is to integrate by seniority date. Every thing else has proved to destroy all unity. Simply put unless all the USAirways people want or have an opportunity to go west----they wont!!!!!

So why all the diversity and fear?

with oil around 60 i see this deal going south.

I told you folks that USAIR people want all your seniority and you laughed and chided me. Enjoy the the food fight. Personally this merger should fail so AWA can remain in one piece and the correct "career expectations" should play out.

You would think that pilot Flight Pay Loss would cover the time of the guys negotiating. Unless the FPL donations are running a little thin, which is another issue that needs addressed.

Um, the fight is between ALPA and management. So far the two MEC's are getting along pretty well.

And how will some USAir pilot losing their job make your life any better? Please explain what you stand to gain from their loss.

Personally, you should get some kind of a life. Worry about your own airline and your own pathetic situation. And get some new sunglasses!. You look like a cross between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Pee Wee Herman!

Don't even waste you time responding to "787"...his comments aren't even worth thinking about. He works for a company (UAL) that has more problems them all of us combined and was turned down by the government for loans and he can't keep his "nib" out of our doings. I realize this is a public forum, but this guy has alot to make comment on. He should really turn his energy to his own PATHETIC company!!!! Thank goodness we didn't merge with them a few years ago...we would be one of them!! I'll roll the dice with our position any day!!

Lets See, Nice stable job at thriving airline. Estimated Five year upgrade becomes furloughed pilot on street looking for comuter or corporate job. Oh, and who has my job, a soon to be furloughed USA pilot if this does not go through??? No Fear.

The HP management is looking at growth. I don't understand what the pilots are affraid off? With the exception of parking some old B737 ther e are going to be more aircrafts in the fleet. More flights, additional routes and more important international routes. In addition the better network for STAR Alliance passengers. So at the end it will be not much different than it is today. Yes some will not be happy but there is no solution that will make every happy.
