HUGE..GOP..(Hillary) Bull Shite Story...DEBUNKED

Interesting perspective. Why is it that the GOP only nominates older white men on the ticket?

Typical Republican, assuming that whites want to vote for someone simply because they're a white male, instead of what the person stands for. OH wait, that actually happens to be true.

And yet, Obama is the first non-old-white candidate to come forward from the DNC in, well, forever.

Oh, that's right. Bill Clinton wasn't old when he was nominated. He was just white and horny.

What's your point? It's been a long time coming. The GOP still can't find anyone other than white guys to represent them because that's what their base votes for. It goes both ways.

Apparently, neither can the Dems.

Over the past 20 years, average age of a Democrat candidate was 52.

Average age of a Republican candidate was 60.

A difference of 8 years. Oh. My. God. Oh, that's right, you're an athiest. Think out your own replacement.

Add VP's to the mix, the Democrat age rises to 55, and the GOPs falls to 57, pretty much the same relative age if you were to ask people if there's a difference...

Limit it to just elections held this century, and the average age for the Dems stays at 52, but drops down to 57 for the GOP.

So.... feel free to make "old white men" your meme, but I'll choose experience before celebrity status, thank you.

Eight years is quite a bit. That's two terms. I am not sure I would want to vote for someone much younger than 50. For me it's a maturity issue. Vote for someone who is 60 and they will be 68 by the time they leave if they get two terms. It's not necessarily old but it's a demanding job.

But leave it to you to miss the forest for the trees.

- Who had the first female on the ticket?
- Patsy Takemoto Mink first woman of color voted to the House.
- Shirley Chisholm first black voted to the House. Also the first black to deliver a Key Note at the DNC
- Jean Westwood first woman to chair the DNC
- L. Douglas Wilder first black governor.
- Carol Moseley Braun first black woman in the Senate
- Patricia Roberts Harris first woman cabinet member.

First AG
first Puerto Rican in Congress
First deputy Whip

you get the point.

Yes there were some significant firsts for republicans such as O'Connor and others but they all came after the dems who paved the way. Look at the election results of 08 and 10 to see how minorities and women view the RNC. Look at the panel that Issa put together to discuss birth control.

The we have guys like Murdoch and Akin. What party is forcing women to have ultrasounds before they have an abortion?

If you want to believe you are part of a lovey dovey party that treats everyone the same .... go for it. Reality and the voting booth say you are wrong.

Almost forgot. Rep. Broun a ranking member of the House Science Committee said the world is 9,000 yrs old and that the "big bang theory are lies from the pit of hell".

(And just like 'Dog said about " cityrat")......."Bears nailed it" ,.....'TREE has NAILED IT'...(against EOLESEN no less)

And speaking about Eolesen,.....ERIC, what was it about the ...CONTENT of Thier CHARACTER, that drew you like a moth to a light, toward............EL-CHIMPO, and(especially) DIRTY .. D I C K ????????

Hmmm... Bush seems to have an extremely strong marriage, and is pretty well grounded in his faith. The man never wore it on his sleeve or used it as a photo op. He said what he believed, and didn't waffle.

You can hate on Cheney for having been CEO of a Fortune 500 and making lots of money in the process, or for whatever other reason you have, but the fact remains he's been married to the same woman for almost 50 years.

That's character, Bears. Someone you can believe when they speak.

Can't say that about too many of the folks on Team D. They've got more waffles than Georgia has Waffle Houses.

The only thing that Twig has proven is that there are lots of identity voters amongst Democrats.

I wouldn't be too proud of some of those firsts. Carol Moseley Braun was a one-term wonder, and the only reason she won was because Illinois' vote is owned by City of Chicago residents. If Chicago were its own state, Illinois would be blood red. And she was outsted by a Republican...

But more important, Twig missed the fact that the first THREE black Senators were all Republican. Mosely Braun was the fourth. If the Dems are such a progressive party, they sure took a long time to get around to electing someone of color...

Same story in the House. There were a couple dozen black Congressmen elected between 1870 and 1935, which is when the first Democratic Congressman of color was elected.

Let's talk about women...

The first five Congresswomen elected were all Republicans, including the first Jewish woman elected to office. Evah.

Hispanics?

First Hispanic Senator and first three Hispanic Congressmen were all Republicans.

So please, do go and point out how those firsts. Twig had some slim pickings since the firsts in all those other categories were owned by Republicans...

Obama was a groomed and packaged deal in the works for some 30 years. He was used to get progressives back into power......no valiant love of man bullshit from the left, only a tool to get the party control.

Funny, Fredrick Douglas was nominated in 1888 and Alan Keyes in 1992.
