What's new

I know I shouldn't be laughing at this..

You're right about who makes what. I actually knew that but was going through a mega brain fart. In any case, my points (substituting the proper authorities) are still quite valid. The DOT regulates rampers. The DOT says rampers can't use marijuana. Still the same result.
And it will be the same if/when Calif legalizes pot. (Whether through the legislature or initiative process, it might very well.)

Still, the behavior of this man is not that of someone on pot. Jesse Ventura said something like "take it from someone who knows. A guy had too much pot is not going to wreck a car, he is just going have some munchies and listen to Jimmy Hendrix and not bother anyone, unlike a person who had too much too drink. (Google it, if you want the exact quote). I miss Jesse Ventura!

all i want to know is if the FA's gave him a good work over ... man i hope they did .... take all that reserve frustration out on him ... let's make sure we send a message here at US Airways that if you cross the line on one of OUR planes ... you'll regret it for the rest of your life .... PTSD till you die lol ...

thank you come again !

Unfortunately for him, the woman he tried to strike, Lorin Gorman, 51, of Chula Vista, Calif., is a fourth-degree black belt in tae kwon do.

I'm glad you think PTSD is amusing!

Clearly you've not had it, or know someone who has. It's not partivularly funny.

I'm pretty certain that Lorin and otherson the crew took no pleasure in the events as they unfolded

ohhh yeahhhh!!!

that's so sweet ! we've got an army of rambo's on our planes ... mess with the nice looking lady and she will break your arm off and then choke you out ! now that's what i call service!!

The government has no right to dictate to anyone what they may or may not put in their own body. How many people have been convicted of killing someone in a car accident while under the influence of cannabis? How many people have been convicted of killing someone while drunk?

They do have the right, and they do use it. Might want to read this article of something that happened here in Vegas several years ago...

Do you think that the Ecstasy had something to do with it? Even if it did not, I never said there were no accidents caused by smoking marijuana, just that they did not even come close to the number of accidents caused by other forms of drug abuse namely alcohol.

There were over 11 thousand people murdered on US roads by people who were drunk. I found this study and this article that claimed that people who were on marijuana were more likely to be aware of their impairment and drive slower and be more cautious.

I cannot find any statistics on how many people on marijuana cause accidents so I will venture a guess that it is not any where near the amount of alcohol.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your thought process. And no, I have never smoked that or any other controlled or uncontrolled drug.

You said (as I quoted) that the Government has no right to regulate, I refuted that claim.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your thought process.

Don't worry, I don't.

Could you point out where in the COTUS the right to ban substances is granted to the government?

The fact that we have allowed the Fed to control our lives beyond what the COTUS specifies does not mean that they have the right to do so.

There is not even a public risk to health or safety to justify the banning of marijuana while allowing nicotine.

They can't cite it Garfield because it isn't there. They current insane war on drugs is yet another example of Government Do-Gooderism defeatedby human nature.

Billions upon Billions could be generated and saved if we threat addictions/sbuse as a public health issue instead of a criminal enterprise.
