How are the following treated under the IAM f/s contract? This may help with arguments at work with breakroom stewards (close cousin to the barracks lawyer and equally annoying):

1) Parking. Who pays? Employee or company?
2) Trades, dropping of shifts and picking up shifts. I'm understanding that all are allowed but no consecutive 16-hour doubles. HP f/s under impression that there are no drops, trades, picking up nothing nadda zilch. Am I right or terribly mistaken?

More questions later... nyquil setting in fast... becoming groggy.............................................................

You can swap to work a double or swap off. If there is ot, you can pick up the shift but I believe it is done by seniority or whomever has the lowest numbers of hours. Personally I used to do doubles Mon thru THurs and had Fri thru Sun off while I worked at BOS. I dont know if you can still do that because I am now at Piedmont in ABE and we dont have a union, though i think we should. I cant tell you about parking except that I highly doubt the company would pay they may reimburse you but someone else may be able to answer that than me hope this helps a little

Parking is paid by company. Swapping and picking up shifts allowed up to a point.

US Airways pays for the employees to park at each employee lot where they work.

i dont believe so I think you can pick up any or all kinds of shifts without a problem.

Parking is paid by company.

HP f/s employees are under the impression that they will have to pay for parking passes under IAM. TWU leadership hasn't been furnishing information on the IAM contract and they let all the rumors fly in the breakrooms. The rumors pass as facts as that is all they have. The breakroom steward told me so it must be true. He sure sounds convincing.

All US employees union or non-union who work at the airport are provided company paid parking in an employee parking lot.

Yes, I understand that. The breakroom stewards are "letting the facts get in the way".
free parking all the way....double double single a way of life...3 days on 4 days off......you gotta love it.
Damn sea lawyers never get it all right..... 😛

Who is the breakroom steward and if you have one great job......Just call your leadership in PHX I think his name is Pat Resler he should of done his homework by now and he will have the answers...

A breakroom steward is a person who quotes what they have heard in the rumor mill but recite it as a fact. It is not a position. It is a term of derision. I know who Pat Resler is. Thank you. Pat don't know diddley.
