Iam Pay Cut Charts

Don't you just love it.

Everyone is getting pieces and parts of the agreement but
the IAM can't seem to upload it to their website..

They must be tired..

That chart is from the company, not the IAM and the IAM is not going to put it on District 142's Web Page (and still might not post it) until after ALL the membership recieves their hard copy.

And the person in charge of the web page is not tired.

Now why do you post such a statement.

Do you think if they took the entire proposal, put it in a PDF format,
posted it on the 142 website that 99% of the membership would not
see it within 24 hours!! I have to say you would be wrong.

And who cares where the chart comes from, company or union. Its going
to be the same chart.

I know your a strong supporter of the IAM. I have no problem with that. But
their ability to get information out to the membership stinks.. Plain and simple.
In this day of computers and instant access to knowledge making everyone wait
days and days for a simple PDF file is foolish and its typical.

The day the last proposal was handed to the IAM for vote is the day it should have been scanned and uploaded to the IAM page. There is no need to correct it, no need for a comparison sheet, nothing. This is the way it reads and this is what you
are going to vote on.

And saying the webmaster was tired was a joke.. They don't post anything, how can they be tired!!

The District did not want the media getting a hold of it before the membership did.

Don't you know every mechanic and related employee does not have internet access?

It has to be explained to the membership and posting it on a web page does no such thing.

It had to be sent to a printer to produce 4,500+ copies.

And I beg to differ, go read the 142 web page it is updated on just about on a daily basis as information becomes available. US Airways is not the only airline in the district, and on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I am told there were over 86,000 hits per day on the site.

Has to be explained? By who?

Do you think everyone is that dumb.

They didn't want the media getting it before the membership..

Ah Duh.. Its on this website, you think the media can't get it?

And I know not everyone has internet access.. How many do you
think do? I bet its better than 80%. Hell thats better than the turnout
at a contract vote.

The nice thing about this board is we call agree to disagree.

You have your opinion, I have mine. Welcome to America.

The IAM does a poor job of getting information out to the membership
and they do an even worse job of explaining to them.

To clear up any confusion, the chart is niether from the company or any union officials. It is not "part of" the entire proposal itself. It is a homemade chart that I made myself by using MS Excel to make the spreadsheet and then converted it to a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat.

I did it to make it easier for individuals to see what is happening to our/their pay. I hope I didn't stir up too much by doing that, and I hope I used the correct numbers to do the computations with.

NYPD 😉

That's because we were desperately seeking information, that we later learned wasn't going to be made available (From the PAL1976 site).

Dude, you gave more with that little chart than the IAM has in the last 5 days.

All they can say is "Stay Tuned".

This is all good and well (you posted this yesterday) but then you post a summary of details on here today after specifically giving these reasons you couldn't say anything and telling me I was baiting you to release details. I knew it just like I told you yesterday there was no way you could keep your trap shut and when you saw details starting to leak out you had to open the floodgates so you could be the first and the one in the know as usual.
