<_< ---- A little bird told me that a curtain, recently retired, exTWA lead system crew chief has questioned the IAM on it's stipulation that to collect your IAM retirement, you can not be actively employed in the Field you retired from. It seems this stipulation appears to contradict the URSA laws! He feels the IAM should have started paying it's members when TWA cyst to exist in 2001! ------- And it seems the AARP legal Dept. may be involved also! ------- And no, that curtain recently retired person is "NOT" me!!! So let's see what pan's out! If anything! But I hear it has got the IAM's attention! 🙄

If there is any truth to it, the IAM will probably file for bankruptcy and re-stiff you.

I took my pitance in a lump sum. Actually, the paperwork says ANY work. I quickly informed them that thanks to Roach, OD, and Scooper, I would be working the rest of my life. I also told them that not only would I never work in an IAM represented class and craft but I didn't like to travel on a plane that had IAM on the property. Fussy? Not me...lol

I submitted the paperwork Nov. 1 and received the check the last day of Jan. LOTS of fussy phone calls to DC.

<_< -----Typical reply for you Goose!---- But I don't think the IAM would ever file! I believe they're quit a bet bigger than the TWU! Notice I said "bigger", not "better"! In fact, I can't really brag on either one of them!------- But we're not talking a lot of money here! Per individual that is! Although it would cost the IAM a good amount! Not to mention, loose of face!
