I've wondered for many years why BDL isn't being utilitzed as an alternative international gateway for the millions of (wealthy) people who live within an easier driving distance to BDL than BOS or JFK. By my estimates there are nearly 8 million people for whom travelling to BDL is infinitely easier than travelling to BOS or JFK.
