Iraq Collapsing

We would have to stay their forever and rule the country like Sadam did. Why remove one despot to replace it with another. These factions have been fighting for thousands of years. We are not going to stop it.

How many US lives is it worth? How much money is it worth?
How much is a life worth?
Is a US life worth more than an Iraqi life?
Should we stand by as genocide is being enforced?

How much should we spend to save lives?
Whats the ROI?

Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes and then only if they look menacing.

Cheney's on Iraq:

Cheney on Iraq is like Ken Lay telling Enron employees to keep buying the stock in October 2001.  Also...Cheny on anything is pretty damn classless.  Bill Clinton held his tongue about the numerous Bush **** ups...but Cheney still has to convince himself that he was right in doing what he advised against in 1991.  Couldn't there have been a more worthy recipient of the heart in his chest??

Not sure. I don't know that we should be saving their lives if 1 they do not seem to want us there and 2 they keep fighting among them selves because of stupid regions and tribal beliefs and 3 since they have been doing this for more than a few years why should we help if there is no reasonable belief that anything will change.

I'm all for saving a life but given the above, I have to ask why.

I think the Cheney interview you are think of was in 1994. Cheney is the last person who should be advising anyone of anything.

To say the very least Tree. Somehow, call me crazy here, but a cowardly, draft-dodging sociopath like Cheney, without the slightest evident sense of personal responsibility, and who's not even trustworthy with so much as a shotgun, well...somehow fails to inspire much in the way of overwhelming confidence.

It's called learning the lessons that history teaches. We marched in, we can just march out. Cut the entire region off from the Yankee Dollar and spend the money HERE on our own people. We are stuck for now with the Saudi's and the Petrodollar scheme. The rest of the countries can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

He did not dodge the draft, he got 5 deferments.

"He did not dodge the draft,"....Yet "he got 5 deferments"?

At least TRY to be even the least bit serious here. 😉

Try and at least abide by standard definitions of words instead of making up your own.

I'll abide by moral codes. The Nation was at war. That cowardly little psychopath dodged his Duty.

du·ty
ˈd(y)o͞otē/
noun
noun: duty; plural noun: duties
1.
a moral or legal obligation; a responsibility.

Additional instruction for your benefit:  "MORAL OBLIGATION. A duty which one owes, and which he ought to perform, but which he is not legally bound to fulfill."  http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/moral+obligation

You did not say he dodged his duty. You said he dodged the draft.

FIVE sought "deferments" fully covers that last as well. Sigh!...(looks around for a box of crayons to better express this in comprehensible terms for the evidenced audience)....
