People said the same crap when women got the right to vote, when black were granted full citizenship, when gays were allowed in the military, when blacks were allowed in the military…etc. Funny thing is in spite of bigots such as your self, the world some how managed to survive and continue on it way. The fabric of the US, much less the world did not disintegrate, and life has continued on.

He was elected to the State District Court (20th District). This is not a federal court. It is not a court of appeals or Supreme Court. He will likely never see a case of first impression; thus, he will always need to follow precedent that was established long before he has sat on any bench.

Furthermore, because he sits in a relatively small jurisdiction, his cases will likely never affect you, unless you live in Dearborn Heights. Which brings me to my second point: Because his decisions will only affect Dearborn Heights and surrounding areas doesn't it make sense to elect someone who is similar to the people who live in that area? We are all aware by now that a large portion of residents in that area are of Arab ancestry. I suppose it makes sense to ELECT one individual who fits the mold of so many of its own residents.
