What's funny about this "requirement" is that it usually only takes one good ICE grilling without a passport, even today, to make one want to get one (even for Canada and the islands).

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic has great, inexpensive all-inclusive resorts. And the beaches are beautiful. like someone else said, go to www.perx.com for great deals. If you decide to go there, I strongly recommend staying at the resort and not to adventure off on your own. The locals are very, very nice, but the resorts usually are near poor areas that may not be the safest.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Did not know about the discount from US vacations....interesting. ?Turks flights are booked up for days we've been looking, but had thought of going there. Don't like the DR too much, for what we are looking for, resorts are ok, but like to explore too much, but might end up there anyway, the way flights are looking, or maybe sju or sxm.. sju has some festival going on that's supposed to be psuedo carnival and quite fun....

what about Belize? The Radission Ft. George offers USAir employees like $75 - $100 a night, and there's a free (unadvertised) shuttle to the airport.

While there's no beach in Belize City, you can take ferries to the cays which have fabulous beaches - sometimes deserted! - you can also rent a boat and drive around the bay which is also fun to do (and visit some of these remote islands!)

The Golden Parnassus in Cancun. Used to be the Golden Crown Paradise. $75.00 to $95.00 all inclusive. Went there the last 2 years. Great food, service,clean rooms, a lot of fun!

Always something to do...The pool bar is the best! The bartenders are great entertainers! You have to call them directly to book.

You can book ground transportation on the internet thru "Best Day" I used them also both years. Very good!

Enjoy...Margarita...they never end!!!
