JFK to Jamaica & 4 flights to Charlotte

this is direct competion to jetblue. i asked parker in the state of the airlne meeting on tueseday on this. he said that he is not gonna let jetBlue push us around and that they will lose against usairways period. he got huge round of applause after that.

Open your eyes to market reality.

If one company offers a superior product, a newer product at the same cost or lower, that is what the consumer will choose.

Amazing how you can't debate someone and have to get angry, that is not healthy.

700 Makes a VERY VALID POINT!!! I can tell you as a Non-rev, I aviod CRJ's (any size) if I can. The MDA, OOps GONE, EMB170 was agreat Aircraft for Passenger Comfort. As a PAYING PASEENGER I would pay for Comfort as well. Maybe when we get the 190's it can replace the 900 but until then the 190 wins hands down.

700UW has a good point to ignore it is why we have 2/3 of our airline express. I guess there are some in our company who wish this

awesome!!!! :up: the other ceos made us feel like a tired old junkie that the others beat up for fun and we cant do anything about it. im glad we are coming back strong!!!
 
Those C900s have got to fly someplace when the E190s come on line. I'd rather them fly to JFK than to ILM, GSO, SRQ, IAD...like they are now. If it were up to me, we would junk them out for scrap tomorrow, but it "ain't happen'n".
 
The business traveler deserve the newer and better airplane, JFK would be a business travelers destination.

fly them eastward until they run out of gas. theyll make a nice home for some fish. (small ones)

Why don't you ask an average passenger what a CRJ-900 or EMB -190 is? Some know, most do not. The price is the decider for most and that is fact.
 
Businessmen provide the most revenue on a percentage basis, they care about what type of plane it is and price.

Maybe some of your FFs can chime in on this subject.

Theres one other thing you all are missing.

People from flying from JFK may also connect on thru CLT to hundreds of cities when aboard US. They dont have that on Jetblue. Jet blue can rely on basically O & D traffic. All those other cities JetBlue flies to such as BTV, BOS and RDU are all flown non-stop from CLT. People rather fly nonstop then connect in delay prone JFK as a connection even it means enjoy the 190. Therefore JetBlue is loosing this hands down! Besides, if this was a transcon, there would be something to fight about. These are 1 or 2 hours runs tops! Whos gonna watch TV (from the buisnessmen flying to CLT or JFK?) Infact, they will just get angry kids are playing those TV's and screaming back to Dora the explorer when she says what about you guys? LOL!

I'm not a FF in the sense you mean, but I agree. The problem is we don't have extra mainline airplanes to put on that route without taking them off another, and one would hope that the mainlime planes we have are being used where they'll produce the most revenue.

So we put the biggest plane we can scrounge up on the route (although not necessarily the most comfortable according to some true FF's).

What I find mildly amusing is the "split personality" of Parker's statement in response to B6's announcement of CLT service - the one so roundly seconded here saying that passengers would rather land in LGA on time than at JFK with a little TV in front of them - and our starting service between CLT and this "undesirable" airport.

I wouldn't concern myself with JB. They have enough of their own problems!!
