Well US has the ability to offer conx at both ends, where B6 only has the JFK conx. There are quite a few *A carriers in JFK for funneling traffic thru. And then theres the JFK-CLT- Caribbean traffic thats possible. Not that B6 doesnt offer some JFK-Caribbean Nonstops, but for those who would normally fly US at other times, it at least gives them another option from New York. Also, US would offer quite a few options from JFK via CLT that B6 cant, both domestic and international.
