It's no secret that I've been quite critical of Northwest Executives. Unfortunately they don't have a monopoly on questionable leadership.

Have you ever wondered exactly how the AMFA strike at NWA evolved?

Large corporations and governments are havens for dysfunctional enviroments and those who excel in them. Just because some has earned a Juris Doctorate or a prestigious Masters Degree doesn't insure that he/she will be of sound judgement.

This evening I read the first nine chapters of State of Denial. If you aren't worried about President Bush and his cabinet...YOU SHOULD BE! I'd like to quote General Tommie Franks' reference to The Joint Chiefs but no doubt the moderator on this site would delete it. 🙂 Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld has micro managed so much that he is a joke to insiders at the DOD. Condie Rice, likeable but what has she resolved?

Are these Doug Steenland's dear friends or does he have any friends?

I doubt he has many....He has almost *zero* social skills, and is not very dynamic at all. Talking to him/listening to him is like watching paint dry. Say what you will about Richard Anderson, but at least he could work a crowd, and it was interesting to talk to him.....

Since you brought it up, what exactly do you mean by that. I've heard this a few times from lefties, but I've never heard any rational reasoning that explains why she deserves that tag.

I thought of Doug when reading chapters nine and twelve of State of Denial. Former CENTCOM Commander General Tommie Franks referred to the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the "Title Ten M****** F******". Frank's remarks about Feith were also along those lines. Even with these quotes in mind, Don Rumsfeld is who really seems to be out of touch (much like Doug).

A bad president who has a bad cabinet is how I think of Bush. Is this thought much different than how you would view the executives at NW?

First off though, I personally HATE racial stereotypical words, but (sadly) the definition, is crystal clear.
(For what It's worth, Cheney and "Rummy" are unofficial WHITE Uncle TOMS) !!

Ms. Rice(like DC and DR) is always ready to please BUSH.

It's REALLY hard to think (with her vast education), that she Truly does'nt know that DUMBYA is VERY WRONG !!

The whole world(BY NOW) Finman, realizes that the "little TURD" is DEAD WRONG, about Iraq !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Therefore if Ms. Rice continues "to please", then, as ugly as the word is, It FITS !!!!!!

Those of you who have had to deal with the NW strike and dare I saw NW mismanagement will be shocked if you do the following. Take a few moments to browse through the prologue of State of Denial. Then read the quoted statements and converstation. You will find verification of most disturbing mismanagement in your government. This doesn't seem to different from what you folks have posted about NW.

Next week you vote...PLZ DO SO! Reading is a wonderful alternative to sterilized news reports. You learn more and become better informed. WE NEED CHANGE!

I'll honor his post by posting a few bits here.

Condie Rice: Big brain, ambitious and hard working but what issue has she resolved? I can't think of any.

Collin Powell: Honorable and a good guy but he made the mistake of "taking one for the team" when he made the case for war in Iraq. He personally was against this but yielded to Bush, Chaney and Rumsfeld. Too bad!

Doug Steenland: Uh...anything good about this guy?
