Actually, I blame the family. It could be argued that she lacked the tools to help herself because of her condition, but a travelling companion should have been in a position to intervene. It also continues to interest me that the mother-in-law had at least one call made to the Phoenix PD requesting that her maiden name be used so that the family name would not become public. Of course, that wouldn't have helped much when the family turns around and seemingly tries to blame the Phoenix PD for her death.
