Hangar queens or are they somewhat reliable? Does the dash 10 conversion improve the dispatch reliability? The company plans for the aircraft to fly 800 hrs per annum.

I see nobody has replied to you as of yet.

I have limlited maintenance experience on them, but the operator who had them where I worked, ran three of them with very little downtime. They were used on a 24/7 medevac operation, and although they did have snags, they very rarely were unable to make the flights required. It may have been because of a very good maintence program, but all in all the aircraft seemed well suited for their environment. The majority of hanger queen time was mostly due to pilot induced metal fatigue and/or hanger rash incidents.

A company that I am doing some consulting for has one wet leased right now and it seems to be doing quite well.. I''ve had a pretty good look at the airplane and it seems to be a good one.. It''s still got the dash 6??? I think engine in it and there are very few snags... Seems like a good alternative to the PT6 version..
