On another thread (that I can't seem to find) KTO posted this topic question. I recall only one NW, one AA and one UA employee responding. But the AA posters on this NW forum are overwhelming.

I’ve been posting on this USAviation board for about 4 years (we all lost our original join date when the BB was upgraded in Aug 02) and I think can ID the following as AA employees from their postings on that airline forum.

FAMikey
Princess K
Bob Owens
TWU Informer
AMFAMan
Seed (former AA employee)
Wretched Wrench
Garfield 1996
OperAAtions
Former ModerAAtor
Hopeful
CheckingItOut
AC AA LA FA
Aafsc
Ken MacTiernan
Local 12 Proud
B.O.B
Hackman
Skymess
NHBB ((Retired)

If I have missed anyone from AA, please feel free to add your name. If any of the shy (or otherwise embarrassed) NW employees want to add their names, this is the thread to do so.

As a NWA employee i have nothing to be shy or embarrassed about, in fact, Im eagerly sitting here waiting for NWA to file chapter 11 so everyone will then be paying my pension. That includes you upsilon. Its sure gonna be nice knowing that your hard earned tax dollars will be supporting me for the rest of my life.

You forgot me but since I have family and friends at NW I'm wondering what your point is...

His point is all you union fanatics from other airlines that aren’t even involved in this have been stirring the pot while you sit in your comfortable homes. Knowing you are going to go to your fat lazy union job tomorrow, while your brothers are looking at financial ruin in a few months. But just keep cheering them on in their lost cause.

I wouldnt exactly say that they are in a lost cause. They are simply standing up to mgmt and telling them that why should we take the cuts and you dont? All I got to say is I am willin to bet that more than half of these other folks are hard a$$ workers compared to you.

They are not going to win. They are fighting management? They are walking around in circles while management continues to operate unscathed. This fight looks really one-sided to me.

Union fanatic? Not quite, but enough to realize that union wages got me my comfortable home while you were bouncing from job to job chasing work.

Knowing you are going to go to your fat lazy union job tomorrow, while your brothers are looking at financial ruin in a few months.

"Fat lazy union job"? You don't know AA, scabby. We're busier than ever since AA decided to bring more outsourced work in house because the MRO wandering wonders couldn't provide quality work.

Besides, those "fat lazy union jobs" leave us with plenty of money and energy to help out the NWA guys on the picket lines. I can tell you they're pretty damned far from giving up, that's for sure.

But just keep cheering them on in their lost cause.

You sure do seem to spend a lot of time declaring victory considering the strike is barely 10 days old. Seems like there's fewer and fewer of you scabs every day, particularly since last Friday. I suppose you'll tell me that this is because NWA got all their planes fixed and laid off the excess scabs?

You just keep repeating your gibberish and wait for the inevitable day when you slip up and NWA throws you to the FAA wolves.

Tax dollars are not used by the PBGC to pay pensions, they use the fee they charge pension funds for the insurance and use the assets that are taken by them when a pension is terminated.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

Not so fast Mr. Smug......I would bet that NWA will try to cancel all the pensions in the very near future  !!!!

Here is the obvious clue........."We may have to revisit the 1.1 Billion dollar numbers for necessary cuts......"

You better not make any big purchases pal 😉

No direct taxpayer dollars perhaps, but every other worker with a pension and every other company offering a pension will be "taxed" by the PBGC to make up the difference between the actual plan assets at the time of default and the minimum plan benefits guaranteed by the agency.

Nice try Chas. You're a Frequent Flier, NOT an employee.

😉
