Lawyer sues Delta for ruining family vacation

I hope someone keeps track of this , I would bet he gets a nice settlement.

He spent $21,000 dollars on unused hotels and clothing for four people? That must have been some hotel. I'm sure he was very polite with the gate agents also.

What ever happened to the most common way to treat a customer? Remember the saying the customer is always right?

If my expensive vacation and probably the last one my mother would ever take was ruined, I'd be less then happy and/or cordial also. As I'm sure you all would be.

You have no clue what actually happened, the details are seriously lacking. How can you say they didn't try to take care of the customer? Maybe he is just an a-hole that couldn't be satisfied?

A New York lawyer? Surely you jest!

However, that being said, it would behoove DL to settle as quickly and quietly as possible. You will not find a jury that either has not had problems with an airline (not necessarily DL) or knows someone who has had a bad experience with an airline (again, not necessarily DL).

There was a case of the same ilk here in Texas several years ago. Consumer vs. Big Bad Business. In this case the business did, in fact, screw over the consumer. The jury not only gave the consumer the relief he was asking for, it also awarded him (on their own) major punitive damages to teach the company a lesson.
