"This is an outrage," Hailey tweeted. "I demand a public apology by @SouthwestAir and a refund. Hate is not a family value. I will never fly this airline. We were escorted off the plane for getting upset about the issue. @SouthwestAir endorses homophobic employees. No one made her accountable."

Why do people insist on identifying themselves by their sexual preference? I only see that as a badge of their insecurity.

Would this even have been a headline if the escorted couple was heterosexual?

'Homosexual' and 'black' or 'latino' should not enter the discussion. No more than if I insisted on being identified as a 'white male'

BTW, homosexual is not natural. Otherwise none of the species would propagate and ensure the survival of the species.

Mother Nature is not stupid.

Jeez....I was afraid someone would ask him to FURTHER share his extensive "knowledge" on the subject....this can't end well...Paging Dr. Laura, paging Dr. Laura!

Excessive PDAs are unattractive regardless of the issue. Throw a blanket over them..lol (have done it many times)

A better and more factual read (for some real education) would be from Dr. Mel White but that is for another time and place.

SWA hopefully will be able to state a policy that is across the board and does not discriminate regardless of one's personal feelings.

Statiscally insignificant.

Do you and TWAsky thrill in posting snarky one-line responses that do not add any value?

At least tune up your reading comprehension so you can better understand the postings of other board members.

Funny, I thought yours was the snarky post...

Updated Information Regarding Customers Removal from Flight 2274

Additional reports from our Employees and Customers onboard flight 2274 during a stop in El Paso on Sunday now confirm profane language was being used loudly by two passengers. At least one family who was offended by the loud profanity moved to another area of the cabin. Although we have reports of what Customers characterize as an excessive public display of affection, ultimately their aggressive reaction led to their removal from the aircraft. We do not tolerate discrimination against anyone for any reason. In this situation, their removal was directly and solely related to the escalated conversation that developed onboard the aircraft.

"I told you, you must not Gay-kiss on this plane. I need for you two to come with me for not following crew members instructions."

"BTW, homosexual is not natural."

I know what you mean. Recently on a flight and there was a woman in her late 30's, early 40's and thank God she was natural. Platinum blond hair, except at the roots, which were gray and brown, perfectly formed lips, almost like God injected fat to form two shiny, lip gloss laden lips. The other women on the flight weren't so natural as she was because of her perfectly natural upper shape, if you know what I mean. For a woman her age, she had two large melon's identical and she wasn't afraid of showing her cleavage. Low cut shirt, open buttons.

Obviously her husband, boyfriend maybe her "uncle"was quite proud of himself. For a man in his mid to late 60's, he had a great comb over and the blackest of black hair. Almost like God granted him no graying. His hair was so black that his shoes were almost the same color as his hair. They way they kissed, you know the natural way, you could tell there was no need for a little blue pill later for him. Nope, all natural, all the way, the way God intended.

this issue here is also discussed in an article I found recently. It says there that Leisha Hailey, the 40-year-old celebrity who starred in the Showtime show “The L Word” as bisexual journalist Alice Pieszecki, tweeted that Southwest Airlines knocked her and lover Camila Grey off Flight 2274 on Monday because the couple shared a lesbian kiss while on the airplane. According to Southwest, however, the actual purpose was a display of unpleasant language. Source of article: Leisha Hailey claims Southwest Air booted her over lesbian kiss

Events like this are where it would be really nice to have cameras in the cabin like some airlines allegedly have...

If they were indeed being verbally abusive to the crew, kicking them off the flight was the only reasonable outcome. I don't care how important you think you are -- start dropping F bombs or other foul language, and it's over.

Customer complaints are notoriously short of all of the truth esp. when the media gets involved. We have seen this same type of assertion multiple times involving each of the airlines.
.
There are plenty of witnesses that could be called should there ever be a lawsuit filed... an airplane is not exactly a private place. You can bet WN pulled the passenger information on this flight and tucked in a very safe place.
