When you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything, Malcolm X

In life and politics somethings are always right and some are always wrong. That's called Character, Paul has it, Obama doesn't. Could you imagine the American Revolution if people like LBJ, Carter, Clinton, Obama and Bush were the leaders. God save the Queen would be the national anthem.

Drug prohibition does more to make Americans unsafe than any other factor. Just as alcohol prohibition gave us Al Capone and the mafia, drug prohibition has given us the Crips, the Bloods and drive-by shootings. Consider the historical evidence: America's murder rate rose nearly 70% during alcohol prohibition, but returned to its previous levels after prohibition ended. Now, since the War on Drugs began, America's murder rates have doubled. The cause/effect relationship is clear. Prohibition is putting innocent lives at risk.

What's more, drug prohibition also inflates the cost of drugs, leading users to steal to support their high priced habits. It is estimated that drug addicts commit 25% of all auto thefts, 40% of robberies and assaults, and 50% of burglaries and larcenies. Prohibition puts your property at risk. Finally, nearly one half of all police resources are devoted to stopping drug trafficking, instead of preventing violent crime. The bottom line? By ending drug prohibition we would double the resources available for crime prevention, and significantly reduce the number of violent criminals at work in your neighborhood.

With the money that would become available could be used to fight human trafficking and a host of other crimes. Since nearly six out of every ten federal prison inmates are there for non-violent drug-related offenses, it's clear that drug prohibition is the primary source of this over-crowding. It has been estimated that every drug offender imprisoned results in the release of one violent criminal, who then commits an average of 40 robberies, 7 assaults, 110 burglaries and 25 auto thefts. Early release of violent criminals puts you and your family at risk.

Treating Drugs and Prostitution as Public Health issues instead of Criminal Activity will make our streets safer for everyone as we hone in on the real criminals

The same happened in Sudan, we did nothing.

The same is happening in Egypt, Syria, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, China, the Ivory Coast and many other places, and the US and allies are doing nothing.

Seems very hypocritical to me.

When the Neo-Nazis donate to a candidate and a candidate accepts that donation, I would be a it concerned. Their beliefs are not exactly a secret and I am pretty sure no one needs to go to their sight to see what they are. It would make me go to Pauls site to see what the he!! he was thinking.

With all due respect it's apparent by this comment that you know little if anything about the right wing politics of hate. I have studied it since the days of George Lincoln Rockwell. I have moved in their circle due to having childhood friends in a group. I was heavily recruited to join said group. To say that their views are sickening to the average American is like declaring the sky is blue. However they are citizens no more, no less than you or I. This means they have rights and one of those is to donate money to anyone they choose as it's well documented that donations to political causes constitute free speech. If it were me I'd take their money with a smile and a thank you note as that would be less money they spend on building their already significant arsenal. As to "Their Beliefs", do you have clue one what they are? Do you know what the "Identity Movement" is all about? Ever attended a Christian Identity Church? Ever watch the Olympics with guys that are rooting for the Russian fighters during the height of the cold war because they are white? Disgusting as all of this was I have to honestly say it was an educational experience like no other and oddly enough my association with these nit wits is what caused me to read and become informed and to study things. It likely led to my Libertarian streak that grows stronger each day.

Now I don't know for certain, but my guess is that the group that made the donation did it because of Ron Paul's stance on immigration as it is an area where there is common ground. However the NN folks want immigration controlled and laws enforced for entirely different reasons than any mainstream POV. My position is I want the laws enforced RIGHT NOW! Either do that OR change the laws. I've always been a proponent of open borders, you know tired huddled masses and all of that. Failing that, I want our laws enforced and if that means deporting 12 million, today would be a good day to start. I know of no Neo-Nazi who would challenge the 2nd part of my viewpoint on deportation as in their mind the "Mud People" go back where they came from and they are closer to their goal of a "White Christian Nation".

So then does my POV on immigration make me a Neo-Nazi? Not anymore than Eric Holder's decision not to prosecute the two black men in PHL makes him a member of the New Black Panther Party.

Generally speaking we should have fewer laws and stricter enforcement of those we do have.

Funny, I thought we were wacking bad guys with Predators in the Sudan.....that comes under ' did something'.

Seals wacked some pirates off the Ivory Coast....that counts as doing something.

5th fleet's in Bahrain......

Barack scolded Hosni quicker than Muhamar....that counts as doing something. But I forgot, Louie and Rev Wright are tight with Muhamar and that may be why Barack layed back so long.....That counts as doing something.

I do not know who knowsnmore regarding hate and I dont think it matters. I am familiar with the terms u mentioned and Feel know their ilk enough. I never for one moment said or implied that their rights were not equal to anyone else. They may donate and campaign just like anyone else. Were I to run for office I would never accept funds from a individual or group The I did not share beliefs with. They NN arw more then welcome to send money to whom ever they choose. The money sent to me will be marked return sender.

Whether there are a few items of common belief to me is irrelevant. I will not break bread with them and I will not accept any support from them. I would condem their beliefs from every maintain top and at every opportunity.

Nor should we! Syria is a sovereign nation. I've yet to hear a request for assistance. Would you want the Syrian Army to put down a mechnics strike against US Airways by invading CLT in the name of human rights?

Libya is a sovereign nation also, you cant have it both ways.

And glad you think its funny that people wanting freedom are getting killed and we pick and choose who we help.

Hypocrisy.

And Iranwas doing the same thing last year (and still is). Obama wasn't concerned then. Why now? Most of the ME countries have abhorrent human rights records, so whay makes Syria and Libya so different? Whats changed? Should we go into all of them? Or just pick the low hanging fruit first?

Since when are we obligated to step in?

Who says they truly want freedom or weren't coerced into these actions across the Arab world?

Especially to nations who don't stomach our representative republic?

Your fav progressive socialist regime is the one not doing anything....or can you blame this one on Bush?

No argument here. We shouldn't be involved with Libya either!

All we do is create a new generation of islamic terrorists. Leave them alone and let them duke it out on their own.

Good thing GITMO is a recruiting magnet for terrorists......Obama knows this or he wouldn't have attacked Libya.

Duh factor starts to sink in to all the progressive idiots who signed on to this ' mission '.

Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi could stage a Lockerbie-style attack in revenge for coalition air strikes if he is left in power, Justice Secretary Ken Clarke said in an interview Friday.

Clarke, who is also Lord Chancellor, told the Guardian newspaper that there was still uncertainty in the government about the direction of the Libyan campaign.

"We do have one particular interest in the Maghreb (North Africa), which is Lockerbie," Clarke said, referring to the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over the Scottish town of Lockerbie on December 21, 1988, which killed 270 people.

What have we done?
