Richard Lee Southwick of Jupiter died Friday, April 1 at his home.

He was born and raised in Tampa.

He was an aviation enthusiast and cyclist.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa; his parents, Mary and Russell Southwick; a sister, Mary Lynn Spano; and four brothers, Loren, Dale, Mark and Paul.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 8 at Sacred Heart Church in Tampa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Aycock Funeral Home, Jupiter.

may he rest in peace and my Prayers and thoughts are with him and his family

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends.

justamechanic, I apologize for adding this to this thread, but anyone who turns wrenches on A/C is more than "just a mechanic". Be proud of what you do. I know it is hard to be proud of any airline anymore, but take pride in being an A/C mechanic. Mechanics hold more lives in their hands every day than anyone else in the industry.

My best to all; all of you at US deserve better.

No one knows for sure what happened. Rick got laid off last year.. He packed up and moved back to Florida.. I picked up his Obit. on the internet after someone
told me he had passed away.

Rick had cancer many years ago. There is speculation he may have had a relapse that he could not beat this time. Rick was a good guy, good technician and a smart guy.. I am quite sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
