😛h34r: Just heard that MAA mtc. is goona be contracted in dca and phl. Needed 8 mechanics and only three showed up. The real kick in the a$$!! contract mechs. being paid $23.00 an hr. to work along with our mechs. @ $13.00 an hr. where you at FRANK ? theirs a crack in the dam and SHE'S ABOUT TO BLOW!!!!!!!!!! Thank you i.a.m. and airways for the wonderful reprentation and treatment over the past ten years.

Like the song says "This #### is bananas!"

I fear something is going to blow in regards to the whole MidAtlantic thing and it's not going to be pretty... there are just too many enraged people in too many different places.

I saw one of those guys training the other day inphl. He had on an Airtran t-shirt and was training to be a mechanic at (MAA) so he said. I thought MAA was shutting down? So, I guess he will be working for Republic.

Just heard that the gate agents in PHL that are emplyed by Usairways EMB-Division(MAA) are being told in the F terminal by Republic Airlines that they are working their flights and they are also watching them and retraining them on the "proper" way to open and close the door. What is going on? Why are our people working those flights?

Sounds like the gate agents need a talking to. If they plan on being so cooperative with Republic, maybe MAA crews should "power-up/power-down" a few more times or refuse to board until lav trashes are emptied... give them plenty of time to go handle the scab planes.

They are currently flying PHL- LGA/CMH/SYR/BUF/IND; IND- LGA/BOS; LGA-CMH. Be on the lookout so you can wave at them>

I had a guy check with a bunch of people from our union yesterday, and they said we are authorized and should work the Republic planes, which I was surprised at. This is on the ramp side of things, so I'm sure it's the same for the gate agents.

LY, I think you guys power-up/power-down those things enough already 😛

Well, next time ya want a bottle of water or sodas, ask for it on those three planes. If the ground crews want to be so helpful in thier own demise, that's fine, but the flight crews are not going to be as happy about it.

Those planes are flying in violation of your co-workers contracts. And they belong to the company that is causing you to lose your job.

LY, if you don't think all of us on the ground think you guys are getting screwed that's not the case. We think what is happening is unbelievable. People are very hesitant to work those flights. I personally don't work them. Mostly because I'm never assigned to them. But if you do refuse to work them, you'll be written up plain and simple. And if you have guys on Level 2's and Level 3's, the last thing they want is a write up and/or suspension. I heard as of November 8th we're moving to B-con, and after MDA is phased out we will be folded into the mainline ramp, although that could change anyday.
