Yes...it is a very good article.

I'll be really surprised if senior management actually apologizes though. They think we suck for the most part, plus, they're too busy laughing at us and counting their money.

I'm with you Delldude, management did such a fine job with the media at the actual time and a few comments on the back page by some honest reporter does not hinder the wonderful misconception/damage/fairy tale all ready created by CCY.

They have nothing to apologise for, as didnt some nasty reporter twist/take out of context what was said? 😱

Look what they accomplished. They got the media to buy into their line of B.S. and even the ALPA MEC Chairman joined in on the side of management.

The follow-on to that coup was that enough front-line employees were suckered into the lie that they actually showed up to work for FREE!!!

From management's viewpoint, it just doesn't get any better.

I know for a fact that some did work for free. They did not work what would normally be a paid position for free, but worked as passenger assitance, public relations workers for free. I know several pilots FOR A FACT who showed up in uniform to "help out" for free. Granted, they didn't fly any airplanes, but they were at their work location, in uniform, on their own time providing a service for USAirways. FOR FREE.
