Looks like IPCC The U.N.'s Itergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is now backpeddling.

Solar radiation is reducing Mars's southern icecap, which has been shrinking for three summers despite the absence of SUVS and coal-fired electrical plants anywhere on the Red Planet.

Can't wait to see the spin from the boards self proclaimed expert climatologist.

The question I keep asking and no one seems to want to answer is “what if they are rightâ€. What if we (humans) are having an effect on the planet which it cannot compensate for? What if we are being given warnings that indicate that something is happening and that our future could be placed at risk?

There is no do over here. This is our home. Not like we can up and move 6 billion people to another planet next door. I am amazed that we are so cavalier about our own future. Nah, I guess I take that back. We as a species have never looked beyond tomorrow. We act on the here and now. I get one body. I try and take care of it as best I can. I eat healthy, exercise because the doctors just might be right that what I do not do now, I will pay for later.

Sure al the scientists might be wrong. Big deal. The big deal will be what if they are right? I do not worry about winning the lottery. If I do great. I do worry about going broke, getting fired, injured… I worry about the bad stuff that can happen. The stuff that can have effects that are irreversible. I do not have kids so I am not too worried. Those of you who have kids, how will you look them in the eyes and tell them that well, we did not believe what we were told and we basically gambled on your future and well…. We lost. Really sorry about that…..bye bye.

Then there is the common sense part of it. How can over 6 billion people, whoa re cutting down most of the old growth forests, paving over huge expanses of land to create cites, burning fuels (wood, fossil… ) eating mass quantities of food, over fishing the seas, dumping natural/man made wastes everywhere….etc. How can this NOT affect the world we live in?

You can call it what ever you want. We are affecting the world we live in. I have two nieces. One has asthma. One parent smokes, the other chews, and yet I still care about their future because they are young and innocent. I recycle, I try and make a little of an impact as I can. I want to be able to look them in the eye and say I tried.

Again…. I ask …….WHAT IF THEY ARE RIGHT?

The biggest issue is the scientists who are so blindly insistent....theres no other answer for them and even the most studied climatologists say there are too many variables to decisively nail it down.Tell me why can't both sides come to a consensus?
Theres very credible evidence linking earth warming to sunspots and increased volcanic activity....Also it is common knowledge that man is impacting the ecosphere in one form or another. As to carbon gases....Theres contradictory evidence that indicates it is causing certain effects but then when you look at what should be results of it,they are not there to support it.But these types things are totally ignored by the eco freaks....There is a very real political agenda here that already has the tax monies spent....
How does one explain dedicated career climatologists raising what I deem are very good questions regarding these issues only to be called and branded as fools or charlatins? Tell me its not political,please....

By being exempt,I guess thats so they can screw up the environment to the point where we realized it was bad and became leaders in the world of pollution control and clean up technologies??

Someone who believes we should be punished for our past discrepancies also is of the same mindset that indeed we deserved 9/11.

I wouldn't worry, after April 2036 it's not going to matter much any way.

Live it up!

Well of course 6 billion people are going to make an impact, but thats the trade off we've made is'nt it? how do you propose to feed that many people without straining our resources and making some kind of negative enviromental impact?

In 1960 there were 3 billion so we've doubled the worlds population in just 40 years, I read somewhere that the world could sustain no more than 15 billion so that should give you a good idea where we're headed. I think climate change though real and still not fully understood meaning what part is natural/cosmic forces and what part is man made will be the least of mankinds problems. (JMHO)

Every second 5 people are born and 2 people die, a net gain of 3 people. At this rate, the world population will double every 40 years and would be 12 billion in 40 years, 24 billion in 80 years, and more than 48 billion in 120 years.

I got a hot tip that they produce 'ice box' rivets on Mars and thats the reason why there has been an unexplained increase of Co2.

Your future is a risk more so than worrying about burning up in the atmosphere but instead the pits of hellfire.

I read this kind of nonsense and know the enmity is smiling even laughing. Worry about something that matters to your soul for God’s sake!!!!!!!!

Geez 700IAM........what is an enmity and why does it laugh?
