Stay your course and you will surely find out, smart a-z-z.
I read this kind of nonsense and know the enmity is smiling even laughing.
Geez 700IAM........what is an enmity and why does it laugh?
Simple answer...lets ASSUME they are indeed right, and the earth is indeed warming. SO WHAT? I live in W michigan. At the very least, the growing seasons in the far north will extend perhaps another couple of weeks or two. What is now mostley uninhabited frozen Canada will have tremendous growth as more land becomes hospitable. Food shortages become less as Russia, Canada and Alaska become more conducive to agriculture. Due to an increase in H2O in the atmoshere, the Sahara wil see abundant rainfall for the first time in a thousand years, making North Africa a food producing powerhouse and opening up MILLIONS of acres of livable land, thereby easing overcrowding in the rest of the continent. Ocean levels will rise, wiping out those cesspools of putricity, New York and LA, thereby ensuring we dont have to suffer one more minute of Anna Nicole Smith or Brittany Spears coverage....Hell, I say we do all we can to SPEED UP global warming! where's that can of hair spray..I'll deplete that nasty ozone layer myself! 😉 B)The question I keep asking and no one seems to want to answer is “what if they are rightâ€. What if we (humans) are having an effect on the planet which it cannot compensate for? What if we are being given warnings that indicate that something is happening and that our future could be placed at risk?
There is no do over here. This is our home. Not like we can up and move 6 billion people to another planet next door. I am amazed that we are so cavalier about our own future. Nah, I guess I take that back. We as a species have never looked beyond tomorrow. We act on the here and now. I get one body. I try and take care of it as best I can. I eat healthy, exercise because the doctors just might be right that what I do not do now, I will pay for later.
Sure al the scientists might be wrong. Big deal. The big deal will be what if they are right? I do not worry about winning the lottery. If I do great. I do worry about going broke, getting fired, injured… I worry about the bad stuff that can happen. The stuff that can have effects that are irreversible. I do not have kids so I am not too worried. Those of you who have kids, how will you look them in the eyes and tell them that well, we did not believe what we were told and we basically gambled on your future and well…. We lost. Really sorry about that…..bye bye.
Then there is the common sense part of it. How can over 6 billion people, whoa re cutting down most of the old growth forests, paving over huge expanses of land to create cites, burning fuels (wood, fossil… ) eating mass quantities of food, over fishing the seas, dumping natural/man made wastes everywhere….etc. How can this NOT affect the world we live in?
You can call it what ever you want. We are affecting the world we live in. I have two nieces. One has asthma. One parent smokes, the other chews, and yet I still care about their future because they are young and innocent. I recycle, I try and make a little of an impact as I can. I want to be able to look them in the eye and say I tried.
Again…. I ask …….WHAT IF THEY ARE RIGHT?
I bought into that whole "Coming Ice Age" BS back in the seventies. So, were they lying then, or are they lying now?One thing these global alarmists fail to digest is the fact that for billions of years the good 'ol earth has been about constant change.Glaciers weren't meant to be there forever,Ice shelves melt in some areas, increase in others.Floods, droughts, monsoons, hurricanes all are the way it is on the third stone from the sun.Since the begining of time.

WASHINGTON – A panel of 18 scientists from 11 countries reported to the United Nations today that catastrophic climate change is inevitable without a global tax on greenhouse gas emissions – a plan that would impact the U.S. disproportionately to the rest of the world.
"We don't think ultimately society will get it right in terms of the full range and scope of activities needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions* until there is an additional incentive in the form of a price on greenhouse gas emissions, either through a carbon tax or a cap and trade approach," he said.
We're being scammed and the eco freak libs are taking it hook, line, and sinker.![]()
