The author Michael Crichton stated it clearly: â€￾the greatest challenge facing mankind is the challenge of distinguishing reality from fantasy, truth from propagandaâ€￾. I feel the same way, because global warming hysteria has become a prime example of the truth versus propaganda problem.

It requires courage to oppose the â€￾establishedâ€￾ truth, although a lot of people - including top-class scientists - see the issue of climate change entirely differently. They protest against the arrogance of those who advocate the global warming hypothesis and relate it to human activities.

As someone who lived under communism for most of his life, I feel obliged to say that I see the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity now in ambitious environmentalism, not in communism. This ideology wants to replace the free and spontaneous evolution of mankind by a sort of central (now global) planning.

The environmentalists ask for immediate political action because they do not believe in the long-term positive impact of economic growth and ignore both the technological progress that future generations will undoubtedly enjoy, and the proven fact that the higher the wealth of society, the higher is the quality of the environment. They are Malthusian pessimists.

The scientists should help us and take into consideration the political effects of their scientific opinions. They have an obligation to declare their political and value assumptions and how much they have affected their selection and interpretation of scientific evidence.

I would think that question carries more weight especially since you will never outlive the planet to worry about it's health. The health of your soul is a HELL of a lot more important. Even if the planet is going to HELL, is that more important than your very soul joining the earth in a far corner of HELL.

Do you believe that NOT believing in HELL will make it’s reality vanish? Obviously you do.

It’s so obvious that Satan has his hand in this worlds affairs watching the liberals worrying about animals, tress, the air the moon, illegal immigrants and everything else EXCEPT their very souls. Satan is making buffoons out of the world’s wisdom. Like a spider with an invisible web Satan snares the fool.

Wow, the first semi intelligent post you have made. Unfortunately you missed the mark yet again. With any luck, I will not survive long enough on this rock spinning in space long enough to be victimized by the damage that humans have done. Unlike you, I am not only concerned about my well being. I have 2 nieces. One day they will more than likely have children. I have friends who have children who will have to deal with our lack of foresight and our selfishness. They are the ones who I worry about. They are the ones we should all be worrying about.

Let me make this as clear as possible and I will try and write slowly so you can keep up. It is not a matter of belief. For to believe or not to believe in something you actually have to care. I do not care if there is a heaven or hell or if there is a god or devil. I have lead my life to the best of my ability. Assuming there is a god, it created me and it knows what is in my heart and how I have lived my life. It will judge me according to whatever standards it chooses. It is my opinion that allegiance to a particular faith is not going to matter. There are over 6 billion people on this planet (or is it 8 billion now … I keep loosing track) most do not believe in christianity so to assume that those who do not ‘believe’ will suffer in some form or another is the high of arrogance. Were I to believe in any faith, it sure as hell would not be one that is arrogant enough to believe it is the only way and all those who do not believe will suffer.

I am agnostic. I don't know what is out there and I really don't give a damn either. I have my hands full eekingout a living and taking care of my family. out of the hundres or thousands of different belief systems out in the world (what about the unknown planets in galaxies as yet undisscovered) who is to know who is right and who is wrong. Who is to say the Greeks or Romans did not have the right idea, or the native americans or inuit for that matter.

I say just lead your life well and call it a day.

So, hunting species to extstinction or nearly so has little or no effect on the planet? Eliminating a species from its natural habitat (Yellowstone wolf to mention 1) has no effect on the planet? Clear cutting old growth forests has no impact on the planet? Decimating the Amazon forest (from 1991 to 2001 over 500k km were lost) is not affecting the planet? The laying of concrete jungles (NYC, DFW, LA, FRA, LON….etc) is not affecting the planet? The spewing of toxic waste in the air and water is not affecting the planet?

Talk about arrogant. If god created the planet and the people on it in this manner intentionally, I would not say that it was on the bottom of the learning curve, More like the short bus program. There are huge design flaws. The major one would be a lack of procreation control. We have over populated this planet as a whole. With in most species, there are natural controls that will thin out a population when it over grows it’s environment, humans have bypassed that check/balance with the advent of modern medicine.

OH well, with any luck, I will not live long enough to see it get really bad. I figure another 40-50 years and I’m worm food (or ashes if there is anyone to carry out my last wish).

By the way, if you look at the population growth of the world, there are 6 times more people living on the planet now than there were in 1804

There are over 5 billion more people on the planet now that there were 100 years ago. So yes pin head, out of the collective eons, the last 200 years have really screwed up the planet. And in the next 50 years, we will ad another 3 billion to our current ranks. Try reading something other than all the religious crap you burry your head in and you might actually learn something.

Heaven On Earth

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them; He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:1-4 RSV)

Humans do not go to "heaven" (see the Fact Finder question below) when they die. According to the Word of God, the dead really are dead while they await a future resurrection on earth to understand the times and purposes of the different resurrections).


The apostle John was given to write the book of Revelation, or Apocalypse to understand the true Biblical meaning of that word). Included in that very extensive revealing of Prophecy was a detailed portrayal of the new earth that will be made at the time that the Kingdom of God, "heaven," is brought to earth.
"And in the Spirit he carried me away to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed; on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb." (Revelation 21:10-14 RSV)

The reason that the Kingdom of God is called that is because God is coming to earth, after Christ has prepared the Way. Notice that even the famous "pearly gates" will be on earth:
"And he who talked to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its breadth; and he measured the city with his rod, twelve thousand stadia; its length and breadth and height are equal. He also measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits by a man's measure, that is, an angel's. The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, clear as glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every jewel; the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass." (Revelation 21:15-21 RSV)

The spiritual Temple that Christ is building will be assembled on earth.

"And I saw no Temple in the city, for its Temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light shall the nations walk; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it, and its gates shall never be shut by day - and there shall be no night there; they shall bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. But nothing unclean shall enter it, nor any one who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life." (Revelation 21:22-27 RSV)
