Engineer in tow!------ Found frozen quadrants, and control rods in pylons. Replaced, works fine. Reverser's written up six months ago! ------ MD80 with tow bar damage, from TUL, ------757 with "bird strike" damage on side of aircraft fuselage. Dent perfectly square in shape! You go guys you guys are doing a great job hats off to ya. Okay AFW news we have been getting plane after plane this past week the last two nights we had a total of nine thats right nine planes here and they keep coming,l so there is tons of work in the field, like i was saying in the other post, they would be crazy i mean CRAZY to touch AMT's right now all i could say is keep'em coming and we will keep doing our job keeping them flying!!

<_< ----- I heard there are a ton of open MEL's on the MD80 fleet that the FAA says have to be addressed, so MCI has been getting a ton of drop-in's!

You may be correct. But it has been my experiance the company never does what is smart and logical. After all, it would not be Christmas at AA without a RIF.

And yet word is there will be between 80 and 200 upgrades in Tulsa between October and January to fill the A300 retirement lines and the 757 Maui mod lines......I'll believe it when they hand me paperwork to get out of the shop, after all being on RIF in a shop job for almost 6.5 years we constantly hear we are going back to the docks....ya right.

<_< ----- I feel it a little ironic that TUL should happen to send MCIE a MD80 with tow bar damage that was done at TUL! ------- "Oh by the way, while there, would you change that gear while your at it?"

Yeah, those yahoos in TUL like to dump off their problems on MCI. You guys are the best there ever was. It really is us against them brother and you rank in the top 5 in the middle weight division. And you wonder why some could care less about your welfare HA.

<_< ------"Middle weight division"? -----NA!!! There was a time when we were "Heavy weights"! But now,---- not even "Fly weights"!------ But if you'all want to send us your "problems", you just do that! That'll just get us that much further on down the road! 🙄 And lately, they tell me, they've seen a lot of System "problems"! Like a perfectly square bent in the side of a 757, made by a square bird in a "Bird strike!"

I've been told by a tech that the damage occured at BWI, not TUL.

Not what I meant. When I leave AA that's it I leave AA. Dude you need to let it go and enjoy the life AFTER AA, you don't work here anymore??.....JMHO
<_< -----Yea! Your right, I should, after forty years, not that easy to do, and I still have a few friends still working at MCIE, both on the floor, and in Management. But every so often, I'll slip on down to the Caribbean, and lay on the beach, in the sun, and drink a little rum! 🙄 ---- You have people on this board that are "regulars" that never have worked for AA! And a few exManagement types also!

 JMHO AA Tulsa M Ipop in time to time to see the jabber. Work at DFW with your furloughed "brothers". Seen how tough they are making it for them as AMTs to get into the shops at Tulsa. Tulsa eats their own young! The comment to MCI is not surprising. MCI has been in this business long enough to earn a right to keep in touch Dude.

Absolutely agreed. I think it's bad form for one poster to tell another what to do with his or her free time.
