CNBC reports the US/AWA merger will be announced shortly after the market close at 4:00PM. They plan on a full report immediately following the announcement

They just annouced again on CNBC that it is a done deal and they preparing to announce in minutes now that the market is close. They also report up to $2 BILLION in private investment, and will start with code share.

This certainly will put pressure on every other major airline. Those employees will suffer much more than any of us have.
