I'm for Northwest. Our combined routes would make us a powerhouse. Their Asian routes alone are something to lust over.
😀

Girls, I am just so tired of mergers -- they have ruined our airline. When I started all the gals were complaining about the Lake Central merger. I thought they were just jaded because they had been flying for five years already - 😛 . Well I was hardly on the line when those Mohawk girls came along and caused a huge uproar with the seniority list. Then came Piedmont. Those girls are still uppity until this day with their fake Stepford charm. Now the only good thing that I got out of Piedmont was my third husband Roger, he was a captain in DAY. He was a charming man but we got divorced shortly after he retired off the 727 and got jealous when I started doing transatlantic. Well then those PSA girls came along and they were just all sunshine and west coast fake. They stuck out like a sore thumb around all us nice PIT gals. Then they merged again when I was off sick for a few years with a broken ankle I suffered in turbulence working 782 to Frankfurt. I don't know who they merged with but when I came back we were now usairWAYS. I think British Airways bought us or something. Then came this dreadul merger with American West. They destroyed our PIT hub. I just don't know if I could live through another merger.

PSA was one of THE best airlines EVER to grace the Western skies....ever! Had US played it's cards right with PSA, it would have been competing with Alaska for dominance of the West Coast today. (a Gold Mine)

The only "fakes" we native Californians have ever encountered have usually come from elsewhere. Maybe you are referring to those Movie Stars who are always pretending while entertaining the world with fantasy. I guess your dream would have been to still be flying between Pine Lake-Sparta county! As you have just insulted your entire group of colleagues (and 35 million Californians), do the industry a favor...with that attitude, hang up the cane and move to the rocking chair. Piedmont women were well mannered, and classy (many of whom could have worked for any airline flying) they don't deserve to be insulted for being civilized. You would definitely have "issues" here at NW in the event of a merger, and number one here is 59 years sen. (we are VERY top heavy)

p.s. If you are calling what the Mohawk women [ICONS in American civil rights history] did (standing up against greed and just plain selfishness an "uproar", you should still be making half of what men make for doing the same job...oh, the insanity of fairness in the work place!).

Um, are you expecting to see "Floyd" and "Debbie" there too?
Floyd, Debbie and I are transferring to CLT. Who needs the TA trips??? We'll do Latin America turns. PHL is too full of hate. Let the new hires battle it out with the PIT gals.

Yes, PHL is full of hate. It didn't used to be like that. It was a lot of fun before BWI and PIT closed. <_< (not like BWI and PIT want to come to PHL, they didn't have too much of a choice)

Of all the choices, I hope that none of them merge with US. How bad does air travel gonna be then?

Gloria, you have ensured a warm welcome to PHL.

Welcome to PHL in your uncouth and bullish way.

Which believe it or not you have always been but people have either been too polite or too appalled to tell you.

Oh Dear, no one needs to welcome me to PHL. This has been my airline for the past 37 years. I do the welcoming around here.

In my uncouth and bullish way? Well I prefer to say I have always been a storm.

With your feisty sprit - I know we are going to be friends one way or another.

Gloria Holtz
