With top drawer 'investment research' like that is it any wonder JP Morgan didn't get a single investor inquiry regarding a potential UA/LCC merger?

Several thoughts: a tiger doesn't change his stripes, no matter what; and it would appear that the :wacko: super double secret handshake club of one :wacko: has reconvened and has been gazing into a not-so-crystal ball. B)
 
Rumour has it a US/UA merger will be announced on Friday. Just in case, can anyone tell us which computer system you use or any info on which unions or where to find info on paysales? Just prepping. If true, welcome to our nightmare!! Mama

I'm sure the USAPA folks already have a spreadsheet with every UAL domicile/equipment combo. and the seniority required to hold each one. The PHL crewroom is probably already abuzz with plans - "when do I get my 777 manuals?" When this goes down they're going to get DOH don't you know. For those of you around in 2000 this will all sound very familiar.
 
do you guys think it will be called United? Or US Airways? or United Airways? Just curious. I hope that IF this were to happen and IF the sandcastle was left in charge , that you guys have better luck ordering our FANTASTIC uniform. SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHH !!!!!!!

Oh goodness if Parker stayed to run United they'd keep SHARES and you'd have 100 seat dupes on a 747.

Doug Parker isn't capable of running this airline...let alone a much larger one.

Ridiculous! Merger will be between CO & UA. Most details already worked out. If US is involved, it will be similar to AA acquiring TWA, where AA, US&CO, and possibly NW&DL will get parts of US. But in reality no one is interested in adding domestic capacity. In fact everyone has announced reductions in domestic seat capacity. The money and expansion is international. US brings almost nothing of value to the table. Merging with them simply makes no sense. consolidation is not about pure size, but global reach and pricing power.

And by the way, regardless of what unfolds, there will be no in house union at UA. They tried that and failed miserably. The only support for UPA (United Pilots Association) was a small group of vocal malcontents in IAD. UPA closed up shop about a year ago (give or take.) So even if US is involved in a merger, USAPA will be shown the door VERY quickly.

Then the bottom 20 years of seniority of US and the bottom 3 of AWA. Yes, that should be ok.
