The refs should be the MVPs...

You'd have thought that Dwyane Wade - awesome player that he is, I give him his due - was an endangered species the way he was protected out there. Sneeze in his direction and you get a foul called on you.

Did you notice how ABC didn't show any replays of the last drive - at the end of OT - he made in Game 5? The one where he was out of control and threw up a horrible prayer... and then got the foul called? The reason there were no replays is that there was NO ANGLE where a foul was evident... that's because THERE WAS NO FOUL. Mavs should have been the winner of Game 5.

I've heard people say that refs don't determine the outcome of games. "Baloney", to quote Avery Johnson. There are many, many examples through the games of this series that prove otherwise.

Having said all that, a hearty congrats to the Heat... you've got some excellent players. I really like Alonzo Mourning... what he's been through and to be where he is today... it's really awesome. And Gary Payton... ok, he's been kind of a "hired gun" here at the end of his career, but he's been very good for the NBA. And I have a ton of respect for Pat Riley.

So again, congrats, and hopefully we can create - and continue - the rivalry next year!

Cannot forget Shaq, who is not only and outstanding player, proven time and again on the court, but off the court is a Miami Beach police officer and a Godsend to cause's helping kids through out the community.

I knew I would see some Dallas fan crying about the fouls that where called and wheren't called.....

!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO HEAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what, you're right. I have to admit that I'm disappointed, but the fact of the matter is, Dallas had plenty of opportunities to win. They missed lots of layups, especially in the last two games, and when it got down to crunch time (in the last two games), they settled for jump shots instead of driving to the basket (like Dwade did, with great success).

And - now, this is really hard to admit - the Heat just seemed to show more mental toughness at the end... again, especially Games 3, 5, and 6.

No sour grapes. I really mean it. And I really hope both Miami and Dallas keep their teams together, and we can have a rivalry for the next few years... It won't be the same, I realize, but remember how much fun the 80s were with Boston & LA...

And by the way REPUS, best of luck with joining AA. I hope you are able to get on board, and you have a lot of fun. This may not be the best time to mention this (since it's a Mark Cuban thing), but remember: "Right is its own defense"... what I mean is, whether the guys around you are doing all they can or not, stick to your guns. Right is right in ALL cases, regardless of anything.

Sorry for the mini-lecture... I really do wish you the very best. Maybe someday we can have a beer together and argue about basketball!
